  • UK: Trying to find an image of a toy/set I got years ago as a child for Christmas, Chocolate Factory/ Maker set...?

    What I remember...

You got a Yellow Basin type bowl with two sides in it that you could melt chocolate in, there was a small cap on the side where you would fill the inside of the basin with warm water to melt said chocolate on the bowl sections on the top, you got a packet of chocolate sprinkles with it, and some moulds of what believe were for chocolate eggs, and a few wee brushes too. I think the box was purple (but im not entirely sure)

It was after June '98 as I recieved it in our 2nd house we moved to, and that was in 1998...

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks Sarah.

  • Travelling next week, get really bad travel sickness, anything i can do to help?

Its November, weather isn't going to be great, travelling from 4am for two hours in car then 3 and a half hours by ferry and then 2 hours by car again.

I get really bad travel sickness, is there any remedies, preventative measures or tips any of you know to help?

Checked the weather forecast today for next week, 16mph winds on the Irish Sea, will this be a rough sailing, or mild?

freaking out because its such a horrible feeling and I cant stop throwing up when i'm travelling on a rough sailing.

    Greatly appreciated, Sarah

  • my partner and i are lokoing to get a mortage, but hes started self employment and i work part time - UK?

i heard you need 3 years of good books in self employment before you can get a mortgage on a house, is this true?

What other steps are we able to take, were currently between houses at the moment at his mothers and i need a place of my own ASAP! i appreciate her taking us in, but everyone needs their own space.

    What options do we have?

We have a little saved away, but not enough for a deposit - we were looking into Co-ownership too - but i think his self employment interferes with that!

    Help!

    Thanks Sarah.

  • Feel like i'm going to have an anxiety attack, how do i relax and calm down while in work dealing with customers?

For the past couple of days i've been feeling really uneasy and anxious, and feel like i could just burst into tears at any point, so anxious to the point I feel physically sick.

at the moment life is up in the air and it wont be normal for another while (few months at least)

I woke up this morning went to work, stupidly started thinking about what i need to sort (Lots to do this month and next that requires a lot of money.)

and have had to go to the bathroom a few times to stop myself from crying. This feeling is getting worse and i feel i may have a panic attack. I've had them before and I hate them.

How can i relax and stop myself from feeling like this, its getting in the way of my work and i deal with a lot of customers.

    Answers greatly appreciated! :(

    Thanks

  • Should i report to authorities, i feel someone needs to step in?

    Appologies for the length...

I work in a alteration shop where we mend and alter clothes. today a regular couple came in.

She has really bad Alzheimers/Dementia (not sure which). they were in to collect a skirt that we were shortening for her, so in she went to the changing room to put it on and asked if we could sort her other skirt for her (Our seamstresses have pretty broken english as they are from poland, but even i couldnt understand what the woman wanted done with said skirt)

So we managed to see the skirt and there was a tear on the back.

so off she went back the changing room to put her other skirt on while our seamstress did her magic.

The woman while in the changing room got confused and refused to put her skirt back on, so her husband went in to help her.

Meanwhile other customers had came into the shop.

Then all of a sudden from the changing room all we could hear was "OW! , why are you doing that too me, its too tight!"

When he was trying to zip her skirt back up.

My customers looked at me in shock not realizing that the woman isnt well.

The husband then left the changing room, she hadnt gotten her skirt zipped up yet or the belt put on, he angrily told her to put her belt on, she then snapped at him and he went back to help, more "ow's"

    she then started to cry.

  • I sent my 14-15 tax return to HMRC last year, why am I still getting letters to submit one? Still on an Emergency Tax Code too.?

I sent my 14-15 tax return to HMRC last year as well as doing my 13-14 as i ceased trading due to not earning enough, recieved a reciept for both, both with a bill of £0. So why are HMRC STILL sending me letters askiing me to submit a 14-15 tax return???

Are they just THAT slow? I've sent countless letters and e-mails and submitted the online ceased trading form and still not hearing anything back on the matter.

Not too sure what to do, do i just wait it out untill they send me a letter either confirming that its been processed or i've been fined to which i provide proof?

Still on an Emergency Tax Code, will that be corrected when this one goes through? I'm employed now and need my correct tax code.
