I have been friends with a male co-worker for 7 years. We have grown very close. We talk on the phone for hours, even after seeing each other at school (We're teachers). Oh,and no romance. He's gay.

We have helped each other with so many problems. We considered each other, "best friends." Well, a student of his told me she overheard him saying some horrible things about me to another teacher and a custodian. I was in total shock, and this is the second time I have heard something like this. The first time he denied it. Well, this time he did the same. I believed him the first time, because of the source, but not this time. Usually when we fight it takes a day or two for things to blow over, and we talk it out. I don't see that happening now. He needs to admit it, apologize, and explain, or that is it. This time he is not even trying. I don't like leaving things in the air without discussion, but I don't believe I should have to initiate it this time. Is it over?

I saw a picture of me lately from close up and it looked like I either had a black eye, or was getting ready to play football!

I have the WORST luck with friends! I know that I am choosing these people, but they don't start out that way. My life has been this way since I was 12. It is now over 20 years later, and it seems as if history is just repeating itself time and time again.

Are there really people out there who can be a true friend. People who are not just out to get you, and see what they can get out of you?

I'm giving up hope. :(

have Friday night plans that got ruined?!?!

My friend is going through a divorce. Her and her husband have been having trouble for years, and she has finally told him it is over. She is already seeing someone else. The girls have seen her with him, not in a sexual or romantic way or anything, but he was a family friend and I think they wonder why he is spending so much time with their mommy. Their dad knows about him, and may have mentioned something to them. He is very hateful. Today the girls saw him with her and I and one of them seemed upset. She did not say this was the reason, but I suspect it is. Has anyone gone through a similar situation? Can you tell me what I can tell the girls, or what I can have my friend tell the girls? Should she even say anything? They are pre teens. They love their dad and mom both, and I am scared this is going to ruin their relationship. I wish she would never have let them see her with him, but it is too late.

I am a teacher and was told I could not use them in my classroom because there are students with asthma? I have used them before with children with asthma in my room without negative affects. What else can I use?

I am a fifth grade teacher, and my classroom always smells nice because I keep plug-ins at each corner. This year our nurse said we could not do this because they are not good for students with asthma.

I am very sensitive to smells and want to know if there is another way to keep my room smelling nice? If you have ever been in a room with 20 some hormonal fifth graders you would know what I mean. The AC does not work very well, and we are a year round school and are starting next week in over 90 degree weather.

I can't use sprays either, I do give them little deodorants, lol, but this is not enough!

I have a friend, who may become something more and I think I made him mad at me. He has been going through a difficult time lately. I have tried to be supportive and understanding. I am going through some difficulties right now as well. I was used to getting a lot of attention, and these difficulties have stopped that.

He left me waiting on messenger for over 2 hours. I got frustrated and tired and snapped at him. Now he won't talk to me. I feel really bad, but I am very honest about my feellings and sometimes say things without thinking of the consequences. What shoud I do?

There is this man I really like. We have known each other for a long time. We went out off and on when we were younger, and now we met up again. It was hard for us to have a relationship because his daughter was one of my students. He is a recent widower, and he said he was worried about how his daughter would react to him being with her teacher.

We got together recently, and when I discussed us maybe getting together he told me that if he were me he would not want to be in a relationship with him. He said he is going through a lot of mixed emotions right now, and he needs to focus on his kids.

I understand, but everytime he is around me he stands very close to me, flirts when his daughter cannot hear, and touches me in gentle ways. I understand he is going through a lot right now, but I can't help but be hurt by him not wanting to be with me. I also have a feeling he is seeing someone right now.

Should I wait, just continue to be his friend and see what happens?

A guy I have known for years and I had sex recently. I was sort of cold to him because I know he is seeing another girl, so I told him that I was trying not to put too much emotion into it. I wasn't letting him hold me or kiss me. I hugged him and said bye when he left, but that was it. Before he left he had this huge goofy smile on his face. He hasn't called me back. I know he works, and has kids. Should I call him?

Well, I had sex with a guy I have known for years. After we were done he asked, "What would your mon think of this?" I am not a child, I am well over 30! At the time I just answered thinking maybe he wanted to know if I talked to my mom about my sex life, which I don't. He knows my mom, and sees her sometimes. Now I am starting to think maybe he was talking about he and I getting together? Then he proceeded to ask me what her reaction was when she found out my sister was pregnant, and if she was married at the time. This was very odd. Especially now that I think about it. One friend that I have had for 12 years has really been stressing me out lately. I feel bad because she has cancer for the second time, and she's having problems with her husband. She is having an affair and leaving her kids with me over night while she goes with this guy. She even ruined my birthday just to go with him when we had plans. My other close friend has been very rude to me lately. He has been yelling at me and blaming me for things that he has done wrong. He even yelled at me for crying, and said it was all my fault in front of people we work with. I cannot understand why he is being so hateful. I am so depressed. These are/were two of the most important people in my life besides my family. What should I do?
