My neighbor who has not been fishing long caught two lingcod before the season opened here in California. He was ticketed. He has to appear in Superior Court and is being arraigned on criminal charges for taking lingcod out of season. Does anyone know what the fines are in California for such an offense?

He is having a major meltdown worrying about what to expect.

My 17 year old daughter gave me a shopping list with over $2000 of gift suggestions for HER for Christmas. She told me that she didn't 'expect' all it 'just some of it'. I spent over $300 and bought lots of nice things.

This year she bought me nothing for Christmas.

For my birthday this year she bought me nothing.

She is just mad because she didn't get more.

My feelings are not hurt for the reasons you might imagine. I am hurt because she is so self-centered and selfish.

I don't even want to be around her right now.

My daughter is 17 and every other word is profane. She uses profanity to emphasis the importance of whatever she is saying. The 'F' work and 'C' word are common place. It drives my husband nuts because he feels it is disrespectful. This has been going on for years but in the last few months she has tripled it's use. I am tired of hearing my name (or anyones name) followed by "fu--ing b--ch!" or "C---t"

She has no computer privileges and she has no favors from me (rides, money, cleaning). My next 'tool' is to ban her from eating dinner with us unless the swearing stops completely (I cook dinner every night and we always sit down) Any constructive ideas would be great.

I have been to see the workman's comp doctor, he was rude, he was accusatory and did little to help me solve my problem. He told me its going to get a lot worse from here on out. He told me its to late to change my mind and I would have to deal with it now, he was glad it was out of his hands. He also said he thought it was my all my fault to begin with.

Is there a complaint system? Can I file a complaint against him? Can I get a second opinion?

I own a Redington 8wt for steelhead, and a rod I personally made that is a 5 piece 4wt for smaller streams and lakes.

I work with a woman that owned her own business for 35 years (I hear this everyday). She is always trying to control and supervise her coworkers (me included). I actually have senoriity and I am relied on for more responsibilities. This woman is a tyrant. She calls her coworkers white-trash and idiots when she is with me. I have to listen her tell me that "No one around here knows sh*t." I have asked her to try and work with everyone. I have told her this is not like owning your own business, your working for someone else now. She is determined to get fired everyone she cant stand. She keeps a note book and if she thinks anyone is doing something wrong she sits in the office and documents everything. She is extremely controlling. She has the bosses backed off because she keeps threatening "Union". I don't know how I can keep from smacking her eventually.

At my shelter there are animal that have ben on the floor for months. This is not good psychologically or physically for the animals. They get walked and handled by volunteers but they need homes. How do I get more placements?

BTW the county board of supervisors set the fees so that is not negotiable.

Anyone has suggestions on how to aleviate foot pain. I am on my feet, on the concrete 10 to 12 hours a day. I can hardly walk when I get home. I use ice and orthotics and change shoes through-out the day, but it is not getting better.
