  • where is the best place to go dancing in dallas?

Im from cali and will be visiting my sis who lives in oklahoma. we are driving down to dallas to do a quick overnight girls night. since we both have never been there we have no idea where to get a hotel or where to go. we def want to go out dancing..more of a top 40 music type place.. or something like 80's and later. any ideas? we dont want to book a hotel until we know the area we want to go out. we are thinking downtown dallas or even oaklawn area and hit up the gay bars (we are both married and arent looking for anyone). any ideas on what clubs/areas would be best for us. thanks!

  • what is the best way to start a savings bond for a child?

we want to start some type of savings bond for our 4 year old daughter, but not sure where to start. we dont want something that HAS to be used for college, and we would like something very low risk, so that stock fluctuation wont affect it. should we just do a savings account at the bank? or is there something else that is better? advice please. thanks! :)

  • can our property management legally switch our gas bill into the owners name without asking?

there is much more to the story. my husband and i rent a house through a property management company. we have lived there for a year now.2 months ago, the prop. mgt called and said they switched our gas bill into the owners name, and that we would be getting mail for the owner and that we needed to give that to them. we come to find out the owners are refinancing the home as "owner occupied" to get a better rate and even had the prop. mgt ask us to lie for them if anyone came by and asked if the owner lived there.i call the gas company and our account has been closed, and now the prop mgt wants us to pay the gas bill that is currently under the owners name. i know all this is not right, but do we legally have to pay the gas bill if its not under our name? in our lease agreement all it says is we are liable for paying utilities, but if it isnt under our name im not sure.

  • Business name trademarked?

I want to start a business but there is a business in another state that has a very similar name who would be offering some of the same services. I know you can't "copyright" a name but if I got the trademark rights to it and got my state business license would it be legal?

  • how long will it take for my 16 month old to fall asleep on her own?

ever since my daughter was a newborn, shes had to be put to sleep in our arms. we tried to do everything by the book. never gave her bottles in the crib, had her sleeping in the crib by the time she was 3 months. but we have never been able to just lay her down for a nap or for the nights sleep. putting her to sleep has always consisted of laying with her for, oh about an hour now, and very very quietly laying her down in the crib after she is asleep. weve tried just letting her cry for about 15 mintues, and also just standing there singing to her with her in the crib, but it doesnt work. i am wondering when will this end. sometimes we have to lay with her for 2 hours before she will fall asleep. she no longer takes a bottle anymore, but still has the binky. anyone else out there with this problem?

  • Did you sign your state taxes?

When I printed my state taxes from Turbo Tax this year it did not have a place to sign on the copy of the state. Which is CALIFORNIA. My federal copy that I'm sending in with my state had a place to sign, but the state was only one page and did not have a place to sign. I tried printing multiple times and it did not change what printed.

  • Which Lens.. low F stop, IS.. or both?

Wondering your opinion.. First I was in a toss up between the Canon 24-105mm f/4 L IS and the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L

Now I'm thinking about the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS.

Because I would get both the low F stop and the IS. Only disadvantage I can think of is not being able to go wider than 70mm. I would mainly be using it for portraits and possibly weddings. Is it too much zoom for portraits? Are there any other disadvantages in going with the 70-200?

  • Capturing footage shot at 24P at 29.9 fps?

I shot a short film in 24P and I'm now going to edit with Premiere. But my problem is I don't have access to Premiere Pro, which is the only version of Premiere that can capture 24P. What happens if I capture at 29.9? Are there any other solutions?
