  • What shall i feed my Saint Bernard?

Yes, what will i feed him? He's been on Innova Large Breed Puppy and will be on it for a few more months yet (he just turned a year old) because he's still growing but i need opinions and ideas on what adult food to feed. Despite the recalls, i like Taste of the Wild brand (my cat is on it and loves it) and was thinking of putting him on that but i'm open to suggestions so long as the food doesn't cost more than $65 USD for a 30 lbs bag of dry kibble. I'd also like the food to be natural, holistic, and well rounded. Possibly grain free. Any suggestions? If you've had a Saint Bernard, what food have you had the most success with?

Extra Note: To the internet crazies obsessed with raw feeding, i refuse to feed my animals raw because of the high risk of malnutrition and contamination, so don't tell me to feed raw. I will not do a home-cooked diet for the reason of malnutrition and expense, so do not suggest that either.

  • Will my lilacs regrow after being badly pruned?

There was much arguing today between my mother and i over the best way to prune our well over 100 year old lilac tree/bush (as of right now no one is sure whether it is a true lilac tree or just a large growing shrub). It had reached a good 20 ft over the years and was looking reasonably alright with some dead here and there on it that needed to be removed. This woman, my mother, decided that she all of a sudden knew everything about lilacs and ordered me to decimate the tree. There is no more lilac tree, that's how it ended up. She's under the impression it will magically sprout new growth and flowers next year even though it's been taken down to the ground. This tree/shrub had multiple trunks of about 6 inches in diameter give or take an inch or two on some. There was some dead, which was removed, as it should be. But the woman demanded that i remove the healthy trunks and the majority of the twiggy shoots. I had this lilac looking reasonably decent and well shaped and healthy. Then she comes out and starts taking the pruning loppers to it and just destroyed it. It looks like, pardon the language, sh **. It seems there is no way it will make a comeback after this and that's what i fear. All its leaves are gone and all the trunks have been taken down to the ground. So i would like my mother to know, for future reference because we have more of these trees/shrubs on the other side of the house, just how are these to be pruned? Never, and i mean never, has anyone ever taken these trees/shrubs down to the ground or removed all the leaves/shoots. I'm very angry with the woman at this point because she would not listen to me when i was pleading with her to let me prune it and to stop murdering it. I've been in charge of those trees/shrubs for the past 13 years and have done a good job keeping them in shape without her intervention. She steps in and all of a sudden we have horrible looking stumps. Is there any chance this lilac will live and eventually sprout shoots and flowers again? The root system, thankfully, is still there.

  • What crazy horror movie is this?

Alrighty this horror movie goes back a good 25 years i think. From what i remember it looked like it took place in the mid to late 80's or very early 90's. I remember nothing about it except the ending. At the end of the movie this man seemingly gave "birth" by "cesarean section" to a scary mutated blob that may have been an alien. The blob looked a bit like a stomach but it was capable of either telepathic or actual speech. This blob thing ended up going home with the man and the man made it stay in the bathroom so no one would know about it. The blob thing was obviously dangerous and if i remember correctly it ended up killing the man. The real goofy part of it was that at the very end this woman (i recall her being blonde with big hair and big "assets") showed up looking for the man but instead found the blob creature. She found it cute and it would talk to her and lured her into the house. That's all i remember.

I've been all over the internet for the past 10 years trying to find this stupid movie and haven't found a darn thing. When i was a kid i was afraid to go to the bathroom without a light because i thought this blob creature lived behind my toilet. So if anyone knows the name of this movie i would GREATLY appreciate you giving me the title. It's just one of those things that gets to you after so many years because you just can't remember it for beans.

  • Why are factual and correct answers thumbed down by members?

I find it rather obnoxious that correct and factual answers backed by sources and personal knowledge are thumbed down by other more ignorant users. I would like to know why this is allowed to happen? Also, why do people do that in the first place? Is it envy? Is it blatant dislike for a member? What makes this happen and what can yahoo do to correct this issue?

  • Are Ents (from the LOTR books) mentioned in other Tolkien books?

Well, after reading the Lord of the Rings books many times over the past few years, i started wondering if the Ents' history and stories are in other Tolkien works as well. If they are mentioned or part of his other books, which ones are they part of? I'd very much like to read them.

Oh and what exactly happened to the Entwives? Is it ever made clear whether or not they still exist somewhere in Middle Earth?

::Note:: I don't want to hear answers telling me to look it up online or to "google" it. When people do that it's so very very obnoxious.

  • What's the title of this Native American gang movie?

About 5 years ago i watched this movie involving a Native American family. The older siblings, i think there were two, were involved in a gang. A younger sibling, a teenage boy, was being dragged into it by his older sister, though he seemed to not want to be in the gang. It was rather violent too. The movie was shot with a blue filter thus giving the movie a bit of a blue tone. I can't remember the title at all and all the actors weren't known to me. I believe i saw this film on either the Independent Film Channel or the Sundance Film Channl. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S.--if you're just going to tell me to look it up, don't bother answering. both websites' movie data bases are a real pain in the bum to navigate.
