  • Where to find cheap but unique engagement/wedding rings?

I've searched Etsy and found nice ones on there, but I'm wondering if there's somewhere else I'm not looking? I don't want to go to a commercial jeweler because their wares are SO overpriced and I'm not made of money! Other than Etsy, is there a place to get natural/handmade jewelry for a reasonable price? (reasonable being under $1k)

  • What are the side affects of quitting Nuvaring?

When I was 16 I weighed about 125 lbs. My diet consisted of fast food, soda, and bread. I could eat as much of it as I wanted and I never seemed to gain weight, so I was happy. I then started on Nuvaring and immediately started gaining weight which I attributed to my poor diet. Now I eat VERY healthy and I never drink juice or soda. Still through all of that I gained about 30 lbs. My exercise habits haven't changed and I've been in a stable, monogamous relationship for a year and a half and I'm cohabiting with my boyfriend. I have absolutely no interest in sex hardly ever. My boyfriend thought I was becoming asexual because of the lack of interest.

I removed my Nuvaring the other day because I think it's done a LOT to make me bloat and I've heard of other women having trouble with their sex drive. What I'm wondering now is if anyone else has quit the Nuvaring, and what happened to them afterward.

  • Shaving a Lab/Collie mix?

My boyfriend and I are going to inherit a dog that's about 80 lbs and pretty overweight. We are getting this dog no matter what. The dogs diet is poor (which we will change) and he never gets brushed or groomed. He's about 6 years old and sheds like CRAZY making my allergies go bananas.

I'm wondering if it would just be easier to shave this dogs hair to the length of a regular lab. The hair strands are about 2 inches long, and the undercoat that should be falling off easier seems to be having trouble getting free in some areas. (above the tail, the backs of his hind legs, and on his sides) I once tried to brush him, and spent an hour with a shedding blade and furminator to no avail. It just keeps coming out.

Basically I'm wondering if taking the coat down to an inch long would make brushing him/removing the built up undercoat any easier. Has anyone else done this?
