  • I hired a contractor..... is it me or is it him???

I hired a contractor & paid him a deposit on June 21st of half up front.... And the work is still not done! The contractor was to tape and float the seems in my drywall in a bedroom which is approx 10 X13 and a bathroom which is 5X10. The job was to be completed while I was out of town and And finished by the July 15th. Once I returned home I came back to the bedroom spackled with spackle all over my carpet as well and the bathroom not even touched. I spoke to the guy and was told he would finish by the 25th becuase he thought that was when i was returning. When spoken to again with no more work being done by the 25th. I was told the job would be completed by monday the latest. Now he did work on it over the weekend but this job is still not finished. My bathroom is covered in spackle and I can even get in there due to his mess. So any advice on what to do or does working with contractors always go this long and does it take this long to do 2 small rooms????

  • Lactation Early in Pregnancy?

Im pregnant with my second child. My first was 4 yrs ago and I began to lactate around the 8th month and then once i had her I had difficulty producing milk and had to give up breast feeding at 3 months. I am now 14weeks pregnant and I have already begun to lactate ( not leaking like crazy but a little bit here and there) .

    1. Is this normal to lactate this early?

    2. Can this cause me to not be able to breast feed that long like before?

    Any ideas or advice?????

  • What should I see In an Ultra Sound?

Ok here are the details last Thurday ( March 13th) when I went to the doctors they estimated I was 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant based off my LMP of Feb 3rd.

I had HCG levels done on March 13th- 6205

Went the levels were drawn on Saturday March 15th the levels went up but did not double- 9971

Now the doctor is saying Im only 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant as of today. ( so the same as last week)

I know my conception date could be off and be causing the difference in the weeks.

    Now for the questions????????

1.) Today I have ultra sound scheduled what should I be able to see????

2.) Should I be conserned that my levels did not quite double???

    3.) Am I being neorotic???

FYI: I am considered high risk due to hx of 1 misccarriage 1 blighted ovum, and 1 ectopic.

  • Military hospitals vs regular hospitals?????

    Military hospitals vs regular hospitals?????

After a long morning of fighting with my insurance company.... I have to make a decision for my prenatal care and delivery. Here are some details about me..... Im a high risk pregnancy case, 6 weeks along, I have 1 child which was born in a regular hospital. I have never delt with military doctors or care. I would appreciate any advice on military care and drs ( particularly Portsmouth Naval Hospital in VA) but any military hospital advice would help. Personal experiances would also help. I am also curious to know with military doctors does 1 doctor follow you through out your pregnancy or multiple doctors? Do they also have mid wifes?

(I have also posted this under womens health because Im not quite sure where I should have posted this) Sorry!

Every time I speak with the doctor about it.... Im told I just have bad luck because all these things are different & have nothing in common.... So with this pregnancy Im on bed rest for the 1st trimester.... and told there is nothing to do to do other than that to prevent things from happening.
