  • Should I get windows 7 32bit or 64bit?

I am getting a new computer soon. It will have 4GB of memory and it will have a intel quad core (probably one of the i7s). I am putting windows 7 in it but I was not sure which version to install. The computer will be desk top and will have new drives for DVD and card readers installed so I dont think i need to worry about the compatibility of the those. My Printer is a new model from Epson and I already checked their web site to see if they have a download for it. My only problem left is the external HDs that I have. I have 3 total which 2 are from Iomega and 1 is WD passport (I cant remember the maker if it isnt WD). will i be able to use these external drives? I also have a few programs that I NEED on the computer. what are the chances of the 64 bit versions not working with these programs?

  • Question about upgrading to Windows 7?

I have one of those ACER mini note book computers (those really small notebooks). It’s XP. I bought an external DVD burner because it didn’t have one. Could I buy a Windows 7 upgrade disk and upgrade this computer from XP to 7? I don’t know what the specs are on this computer so I would have to check that too to see if Windows 7 is compatible with it. I am asking this because I heard that Dell requires you to have disks from Dell to wipe out and recover your computer, although I don’t know if that is true or not. And I wasn’t sure if ACER was like that or not. I don’t want to buy the upgrade disk from the store and not be able to use it.

  • I am thinking of getting windows 7. How is it?

Is windows 7 good? My old computer was destroyed and one of the options that I have is to just go ahead and buy a new one. I’ve always used XP. I heard to many bad things about Vista so that is not going to be an option for me. I was just wondering if windows 7 is as good as everyone says. What are the positives and negatives of 7?

  • virus destroyed my computer?

I have a Windows XP computer that I bought about 4 years ago. About 3 days ago, a virus pretty much killed the thing. I was getting the blue screen of death for a while, but now, all I get is a black screen that shows something like, SYSTEM 32 is corrupted, please insert the disk to recover. Well, I lost the disk about a year after I had the thing. I was wondering if I could get windows 7 full version and wipe everything out along with the viruses and data. I don’t care if the data is gone because I made a back up of everything on an external drive. I scanned the drive with my second computer and it was not affected. I just don’t want to buy the full version of windows 7 and not be able to install it since all I get is that system 32 is corrupted message.

My computer is a Dell computer, 250GB HD, and it has at least 1GB memory. Maybe 2. Also, I have a CD drive and DVD drive. Will I be able to use these two drives still? Could I install them from online?

  • What is a good way to move my tank?

I have a 15 gallon tank with a clown fish, a blue devil damsel, and a goby. The goby is newest to the tank (about 7 months ago) and the blue devil did not like him. It took about a month for the goby to get settled and actually come out from hiding all the time. I know I should have put the goby in first but I did not. Anyway, now, all three are going well, the blue devil stopped attacking and stays in his own territory for the most of the time. Anyway, The room where the tank is going to have its floor torn out and remade. There is no safe place in the living room because we have a 1 and 3month old baby walking around. The only other choice I have is upstairs. Now, the question is, should I take the fish out of the tank and move it or should I just drain the water to the point where my brother in law (who will be coming to help) and I can carry the tank up with the fish still in it. I personally would rather carry the tank up with the fish still in it so I do not destroy their territory, especially since the goby is all settled now and doing great. Either way, I do not plan to move the tank back downstairs right away so I do not stress them too much.

  • How to replace the hard drive.?

I have a desktop PC with a 250GB hard drive. I am thinking about replacing the hd with a 1TB hd. The problem is, I lost my disk for installing XP and I also just updated my McAfee virus scan early this month. Is there a way I can transfer everything to the new hard drive and still get the free updates for XP and keep my McAfee virus scan?

  • Why would relationship be different because the leading group in Japan changed?

I heard on the news that the relations between Japan and the US can become a little bad because the Japanese government changed. Why is this? Also, what do they mean by bad?

  • Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen question?

I live in Japan and just watched Transformers 2 yesterday. It was AWESOME. Any way, I was just wondering, why did Transformers 2 play in Japan first? Was it because TakaraTomy was the first to make the toys and they just let Japan play it first with honor or what?

  • What is a glo fish exactly?

I know they are danios. But I want to know why they are glowing. Do they put some kind of chemical in them? I have been living in Japan for a long time and never been to a stateside fish store. It seems like Japan doesn't carry glo fish (but they do have several danios including the zebra) so I didn't know why. Also, do they actually glow in the dark? I have had fish for 8 years now and never knew about these until recently because I see it alot on this site.

  • How do I adjust Hardness and Alkalinity?

I currently have 3 fish tanks. With one of them, I am having a problem. The hardness of the water is higher than I think it should be.

How can I soften the water? does a simple water change fix this problem? I would prefer an answer which does not use chemicals since I live overseas and I don't know what the stores have over here.

Also, I plan on buying small freshwater puffer fish eventually but they require higher Alkalinity rates than my other tanks. How can I raise the Alkalinity rate of the tank?

    Thanks for the help.

  • Could changing the light be negative toward my salt water fish?

I have 2 clownfish and 2 blue damsels in my salt water tank. No coral, a few live rock and a few snails. I have a clear white floresent light on the tank but I would like to change it to an ocean blue color. By doing this, will there be any negative affect toward any of the fish, snails, or liverock?
