  • How do I get rid of insects around my apple tree?

I have an apple tree in my yard and I need to mow under it. The apples that have fallen last week when I was gone have attracted a couple different kinds of bees... I believe they are bumble bees and hornets. I need to rake the apples up to mow but the last time my dad tried this he was stung. Is there some way I can get rid of the bees to move the apples? I'm fairly sure their nest is not in the ground as they don't usually show up when there are no apples. I just need to get rid of them so I can remove the apples on the ground.

  • How do I fix my caramel sauce?

I made a salted caramel sauce. It turned out great, except I think I added a little too much salt. Is there anyway to cut the salty taste? I'm planning on using it to frost cupcakes... will the sugar/butter in the frosting help at all?

  • I need insight to guy's thoughts and actions....?

Ok, so I met this guy and we went out one weekend. He had to reschedule our original date from a Thursday to a Sat evening b/c his parents came into town for New Year's unexpectedly. I was okay with the reschedule but he didn't call me with specifics until 3:30 Saturday afternoon for our date. I let him know I wasn't crazy about the short notice. I'm a planner, plus... I don't want a guy that I'm getting to know to just think he can call up and ask me out for that night... that isn't "good dating"! So, he called Tuesday after our 1st date and said that he'd love to go out again on the weekend. I told him I had plans Friday, but if he wanted to go out Saturday I could but would like to plan something more definite. He said he'd let me know when he figured out his schedule. He didn't call again until Friday and left a message that he would be available around 5 for dinner and that he'd let me know where when he'd looked up local eating places online. He texted me "hey" at 12 on Sat but my phone (which is on its deathbed) didn't get it til 2. So I texted him back. Then nothing til 4:30 and he said he could meet me at the restaurant at 6. When I didn't hear anything by 4:30 I made plans to see my family that night and told him so when he texted me at 4:30. I also put that we should get t ogether another night this week and would go ahead and work out details with him now if he wanted. Well, he must not have liked that because I haven't heard.

Here's my thing... this happened twice. It came across as really rude that when I overlooked it once and told him it was inconvenient, he then did it again. It came across as maybe he was just looking for a back up plan or wasn't really interested in dating me just hanging out. So did I totally misread the situation, guys? Is this a normal guy behavior when first dating someone? I've never had a guy act like this... they usually try to schedule a date when they call after the first date. I don't feel I overreacted, but I'm worried I may have misread a signal???

  • How to alter caloric intake after weight loss surgery....?

I had a Mini-Gastric Bypass 5 years ago. I lost about 130 pounds, but since then I've gained about 25 back. I'm working on losing those pounds plus a couple more in a healthy diet and exercise program. However, when I try to calculate the amount of calories I need to eat its telling me I need about 1500 to lose weight at a healthy pace. I can't eat this many calories! I mean I can, but I wouldn't lose any weight... so how do I figure out my altered caloric intake due to my weight loss surgery? I've tried googling and searching surgery websites but its not helping. Anybody have any knowledge about this or suggestions for finding out?

  • Recipe for alternative chicken salad?

Hey, anyone have a good heathier option for chicken salad. Something other than using a lot of fattening mayo? I like anything in it... only exception is curry. Fruits, nuts, etc are okay.

  • Need advice on pruning a mature apple tree...?

I bought a house that came with a mature apple tree on the land. It had several apples but many of them drop prematurely or have bad spots on them. Some have small worms in them. Also the branches are very thick and close together. I would love some advice on the best way to get my tree to produce better apples and get rid of the bugs. My dad is going to "fix it" but he has no idea what he's doing,so I'd love any advice from someone who's done this before or has knowledge about fruit trees. Thanks!

  • Other than flying or driving yourself, is there another good way to travel to Orlando?

Just curious... flying is kinda expensive and I'm taking 15 kids so I don't want to drive them all myself! Anyone ever traveled that kind of distance another way?

  • I'm need an alternative, cheaper plan to spending a day @ Disney Orlando with a group of teens... suggestions?

LIke , I said, I'm taking a group of teens to Orlando and we have a day for sightseeing. Originally we wanted to do a day in a Disney park, but on top of other expenses, I don't think it will work. I need other suggestions for how we can spend the day together as a team. Is Downtown Disney free? Fun? Or anything else that teens would get a kick out of doing? Thanks for any help!

  • I need information on Orlando Disney!?

I'm needing to find the best deal for taking a group of my yearbook staff to Disney World. Our workshop is at the Hilton at Disney so we are staying right there. I'm hoping we'll have most of the day Tuesday to have fun but does anyone know of a deal where you can go one afternoon and one morning just in case? Also which park is best for Juniors and Seniors in high school? And any other tips?
