  • Is Gatineau, Quebec a nice city?

Is Gatineau a safe city? Is is possible to live there with no knowledge of French? Are the people friendly there? Do they feel like part of Ottawa or separate?

  • Do you feel safe in Victoria city, BC?

Hi! I visited this lovely city 8 years ago, but was terrified that there was a reasonably large community of homeless persons in the city. It was quite a distraught for me. Also I felt a little afraid that the homeless people could turn violent for money.

This may sound silly...but with so many American tourists there....I too felt a bit unsafe....as in a couple of them seemed to be like those close minded American people who were giving me the cold look....as in seeing a non white person in Victoria City.

But overall, I truly felt Victoria to be a stunning city and a positive vibe in the city. The city has a full aura on my chart, and deserves to be one of the best cities in the world. The Butchart Gardens are amazing....and the people are very warm and friendly, in the stores and gardens....they'd just make a conversation with you...reminds me of my trip to Australia - where people openly greet and talk to strangers everywhere:)

  • Is there a rainy season in Palmerston North?

I think Palmerston North is a nice city, but I love the 'wet' season...and the smell of rain...makes everything in nature around you smell so fresh, so I just wanted to know the general weather about Palmerston North. In your opinion do you think its a rainy city, meaning more than half days in a year see some precipitation.

  • Has crime in Christchurch increased, and why are there so many racist crimes there?

Hi! I'm visiting Christchurch in October, and tour the beautiful South Island, but was appalled to find that CHCH had a reputation for increased crime rate, and a high number of racism against its ethnic minority. Why is this so?

  • What is the weather like in Melbourne in September?

Hi! I will be going to Melbourne for 1 month during 22 Sept to 21 Oct. Can anyone tell me what the weather will be like. I'll be visiting from Singapore and hope it will be cooler and rainier than Singapore, recently for the past year Singapore has had less overcast and cloudy rainy days....I need to experience more of those in a tropical country like Singapore, so am hoping for a better weather in Melbourne:)

  • Will Prince Rupert Grow?

Hi! There were so many things in plan for Prince Rupert, but nothing at all has happened....in fact its population now is just 12000, and I think it'll stagnate at around 11 000 plus.

Even smaller towns of 9000 - 10000 have better downtown core shopping and amenities.

    What's wrong with Prince Rupert?
