  • Compare the resumes of Alabama and OK State?

Seems that everyone thinks that Alabama has played a "weak" schedule compared to OK State as the argument OK State should play in the National Championship. Let us compare though, and btw, it is obvious LSU played a much tougher schedule than both, and that is from an Alabama fan. I even heard people saying Georgia played a tougher schedule, when they managed to avoid Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas.

OK, so Alabama lost the big one to LSU. The next quality wins would be:

Penn State - a ranked team on the road, not a bad win.

Arkansas- a blowout to team that was as recently as last weekend #3

Auburn - rivalry game on the road to a team that had only lost tough games

    So-So wins:

Florida - at the time was playing good football and #12

Vandy - much improved team, but no match

Ms State - Always plays Bama tough, especially in Starkville

    The Others:

Kent St, North Texas, Gerogia Southern - OK, I get it

Tennesee and Ole Miss - Bray was out, and Ole Miss is terrible

    Now OK State

    Quality Wins:

Texas - a ranked team, but not a very good Texas team

Kansas St - good win over a ranked team

Baylor- weren't ranked at the time, but could have been an upset

    So-So wins:

Texas A&M - the equivalent of MS State for Alabama, should have been a better team but wasn't

Missouri - mid-level Big 12 team on the road

    The others:

Tulsa - don't sell me they are a match, they are a decent team in conference USA, thats all

    LA-Lafayette, Arizona - Terrible teams

Texas Tech and Kansas - see Tennessee and Ole Miss above

Obviously, Oklahoma would add a quality win, and they lost an easy one to Iowa St. But in this breakdown, I don't see where the logic is that OK State's schedule is leaps and bounds tougher than Alabama, in fact, the argument can easily be made Alabama had the tougher road. OK State plays noone near LSU, no Oklahoma is not as good as LSU. And the next best win was probobly K State, who is not in the same league as Arkansas.

  • Real discussion on the BCS Championship game, please?

I am biased, I am an Alabama fan. However, I want to really have an educated discussion as to why everyone hates the idea of LSU-Bama again. Don't just spout crap, give a real reason. Personally, I don't buy the if you didn't win your conference you are automatically disqualified. That is a dumb argument as long as the #1 team is the team that one the conference. It would be impossible for both to win the conference, so if indeed these are the two best teams, then conference title doesn't matter.

The only team I see has a real beef is OK State, but c'mon, losing to Iowa State, I don't care if it is on the road, that is a HUGE blemish to a National Title resume. I understand there was tragedy that day, but the fact remains, you lost a game to a lower tier team. End of story. That would be like Alabama losing to Kentucky, and Oklahoma State's only loss being to Oklahoma or Texas. They would be making the same argument.

And it's not about what game you want to see. The rankings don't have anything to do with what game YOU want to see. Just because you think they shouldn't get a second shot, if indeed they are the second best team, that should be the game. That is what the National Championship is about. I don't want to see OK State, Stanford, or Va Tech play LSU just because they haven't had their shot. They don't deserve their shot if they are not the second best team in the country!

I hate we would get our shot when we aren't even SEC champs. But hey, I honestly think in ANY other conference this year, we are conference champs and play LSU without any discussion.

Oregon had their shot, they blew it. There would be plenty of ammunition if they had beat USC but they didn't. Oklahama had its, Stanford had it's shot, and they couldn't deliver. I think it's time for everyone to deal with the fact it will be an all SEC championship.

Agree or disagree? Keep it educated and relevant please.

  • Has anyone ever gotten a new dog w/ a toddler in the home?

We currently have an older Boston Terrier that wants nothing to do with our 15 month old daughter. She is not mean, she just avoids her. Out daughter loves dogs in general, and we were thinking of getting another dog. We had a second dog when she was born, but she passed from old age back in March. Has anyone had success with a puppy and a toddler at the same time on here? Seems overwhelming, but we really love dogs and think she would really enjoy growing up with one.

  • What do you think of this stock list?

I am about to restart my 180 gallon marine fish only tank, with a 100 gallon sump. I was thinking the following, any different ideas? BTW, I had this tank up for 5 years, due to a baby, had to shut it down for a bit. I am experienced and have had succesful tank, and I don't think I am doing anything really difficult here anyway.

    1 Naso Tang

    1 Hippo Tang

    1 French Angel

1 school of blue or green chromis (8-12 fish)

    1 Six-Line Wrasse

    1 Purple Dottyback

    2 Sleeper Gobies

and possibly a lemonpeel or flame angel, heven't decided if I'll even add either one

    Thoughts?
