  • is a refuge island and curb considered the same?

So I got a ticket for not yielding at a cross walk when no one was in it. (Someone was on the side just standing) new local ordinance says that I have to yield anyway (just found that out). It states that if someone is at the curb you have to stop. But there was a little refuge island for pedestrians so I’m just wondering if it’s considered (or could be) a curb. The ticket is 140$ so I’m just wondering if I have any chance to fight it.

    TIA

  • Possible blood clot in leg?

I have Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Diease which is basically a low form of lupus or RA. The past 2 days (on and off) I've been having major leg pain (which is common for me but this is way worse) the pain is behind my knee and has major swelling (again, common for me to a certain extent. Though I've never had pain behind my knee before. I googled it and it seems like blood clots are somewhat common.

Do you think this can wait until tomorrow to call my doctor or is this an ER visit?

    Thanks!

  • Buying a house but sellers haven't given disclosures?

About 2-3 weeks ago I put in a bid on a house. The bid was accepted and we've been moving forward. People have mentioned to me that it's odd that the sellers haven't given disclosures yet.

I've been asking for them and actually stopped the process until I get them. This happened on Monday. Should I be concerned that they don't seem to want to give them and keep kind of pushing it off?

Also, this is my first time buying a house so I'm new to all of this.

  • Can I give my dog bacon as a treat?

My dog is in high intensity training classes, I make a wide variety of cooked meat for him as training treats. I'm wondering can I give him bacon to add variety? It would be in moderation and he would be getting it only once a week.

  • Friend is mistreating her dog?

My friend has a GSD he's around a year old now. He is physically cared for, but the way she treats him is terrible. She got a shock collar with no idea how to use it and really got it because she's too lazy to work with him. She also physically tackles her dog when he's "acting up" even if he stops before she tackles him, she still does it. I can't confront her, since I know she will just get offended and not listen. What steps can I take to help this dog? It doesn't seem like I can call the spca for this since he is physically cared for.

  • Difference between Demo reel and Portfolio?

I'm a film major and am currently applying for other universities, one school has asked for a portfolio of at least 8 pieces. Obviously it would be incredibly long if it was 8 full pieces. So do you think that they mean a demo reel?

  • Puzzle game for dogs?

I was wondering what are some benefits to them, I have an Aussie that I'm think could use some more mental stimulation and that it may help further his training/confidence. Do you have them for your dogs? Which ones do you like?

  • Romantic getaways?

For my boyfriend's birthday/college graduation present I want to take him away somewhere. The budget will probably be around 1,000 dollars. He loves nightlife, so that's a must. Anywhere is open (as long as it's in my price range) except for Vegas. (We're from Michigan if that helps)

  • What food should I switch my dog to?

My nine month old Australian Shepherd has always ate high protein grain free diet. He has been throwing it up randomly. I talked to my vet recently and she suggested changing his food because of a potential allergy. He's been on Blue Buffalo Wilderness Bison recipe since he was 4 months old. What foods should I be looking at?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Horses hoof is white?

I just got a horse, she traveled a good 2000 miles, most likely with her feet not being picked...

So I was cleaning one of her hoofs (that's shoed) and I noticed some white flaky stuff. I thought It was strange and asked someone, they then started cleaning her hoof. At the end it looked like the farrier just filed them... Also, it smelled horrible! The person who looked said it was probably just the junk that was in there that did that.

My question is; should I be worried, what could it be? I'm having the farrier come out and look at it today
