30+ years boating, mostly liveaboard, every boat teaches you something. I've learned to repair wood. fiberglass and steel, outboards, diesels and masts. I have over 10,000 blue water miles (mostly sailing) on numerous boats- schooners, ketches, yawls, sloops and cutters, marconi and gaff, and some powerboats too. I hold a Coast Guard license and know celestial navigation and marlinspike seamanship. I pay close attention to the weather and try to keep prepared for emergencies. Does anyone see the possibility of Afghanistan doing to Barack Obama?
Is anyone worried that perhaps the war in Afghanistan will do to Obama's "Time for Change" what Vietnam did to LBJ's "Great Society" ? Or for that matter, to McCains vision of what should be if he wins? Seriously, both candidates agree Afghanistan is our next big commitment for money and troops, and we are broke.
