I've managed a professional bike shop for several years. I have also been road racing since I was 15. I have detailed knowledge of most bicycle types and can answer questions across a broad range of cycling related issues.

  • What computer should I get?

I'm looking for a kick-*** new computer to replace my VIC20. Is the Commodore 128 enough machine or should I go to the Amiga??

  • Calling all Shimano Gurus.....?

I need help with a road part. Can someone remind me whether the 9 speed generation Ultegra bottom bracket is compatible with Dura Ace. I have a bike for sale with Dura Ace but the bottom bracket is shot and I'd rather just throw an Ultegra unit in there.

    Thanks.

  • What line of lawn products do you recommend?

I just moved into a new house and the lawn is in decent shape. There are some weeds and rough spots, but all in all, the turf is looking good so far. I'd like to begin a regimen of a fertilizer and anti-weed product. What are your recommendations? Thanks.

  • Help with my moldy basement?

Last week we had a tremendous storm in the Northeast and my finished basement took in some water. I'm not too concerned since this was the most rain we've had in 15 years. The carpets are still a little damp and I have some mold forming on the drywall near the baseboards. This is the first time this has happened.

I put a dehumidifier down there and the room is drying up. How should I go about cleaning the mold? Aside from cleaning off the mold, what else should I be doing?
