I am hosting Christmas dinner this year. It usually is my family, but this year we will have some of my husbands family and a couple of friends as well. I would say at this time we are looking at between 10-16 people. Not too big. Anyhow I want to do some fun things. We eat and chat and sometimes play cards. But I would like some different ideas for thing to do. Any suggestions?? Please give details as well.

  • Child spacing, How long between children should we wait?

I was just wondering what people's experience and views on how long to wait in between children. If you were planning it what would you do? What is the spacing between your children and the pros & cons of that.

My husband and I were thinking of trying when my baby turns 2 years old. This would make them about 3 years apart if things go as we are thinking.

I know you can't plan everything, but in an ideal world what would you do?

  • Bumps stage?? How do you handle it?

My baby has been pulling herself up on things now (she is 7 months) She is now a dare devil.. She has no real balance and she thinks she can just let go.

I have "baby proofed" as much as possible. It is hard to let her fall.

How do you or have you dealt with this?

  • Co parenting and problems....?

Am married and we have a 7 month old daughter.. My hubby is a good father, but clueless most of the time. Well some of you may know my baby does not like to sleep. Well she woke up at 11 pm last night crying. My hubby said he would get her. Well he did not pick her up. He just put her binkie in and tried to get her to lay back down. All this time she is crying and I can hardly stand it. Finally after 5 mins of this. I go in and tell him pick her up, she needs it. He did not pick her up so I did... So now he got all mad about it. I know he is following advice from his mom. Whose says no eye contact no talking to your baby at night so they will not want to get up a lot at night... But I do not believe that way. I think if she crys I need to hold her.

BTW: she went back to sleep 15 mins after I picked her up...

So my question is can you suggest any way of getting it through his head that his way is not the right way??

    OR

Am I just being too overly attentive??

How do you solve conflicts like this??

  • Baby/Toddler bath seats?

I am looking to purchase a baby/toddler bath seat for my 7 month old baby. I think she will have a great time playing in the big tub. Plus her baby bath is starting to get small. I want to know what you have and how you like it.

I have looked at the ring type things and the inflatable type things and even like a sponge ring type thing. I just don't know which one to get. Any site or photos of one would be great and where you purchased it.

I would like this to be able to be used for some time like until she is able to take a regular bath with out one (at least until 2-3 years old).

Thank you so much for your knowledge.

  • ** Computer Monitor HELP PLEASE **?

I had a computer given to me. This computer is "supposed to be" better than the one I had. I am sure it is, But when I hooked it up the monitor in not detecting the computer. I had a friend let me use their monitor and the same thing. I am sure it is hooked into the correct spot, it is labeled and is the only place it will fit. Anyone have any suggestions to try or solutions to this. I am so not a computer person, but can follow simple instructions. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  • How to avoid the dog?? ?

My MIL (mother in law) and step father in law have a dog. They retired to Florida and bought a condo that does not allow dogs. (I know does not make sense). The dog stayed with us for a few months, but kept messing in the house. My hubby & I work full time. So then the dog was sent to my brother in laws. Now my brother in law can't keep her and I think they want me to take the dog. Now I have a baby and I just think taking this dog on is just too much for me. We both work full time and after work I go to my mom's to pick my baby up and sometimes I stay and visit with my mom and have dinner. (My hubby works afternoons/evenings) Is it unfair of them to expect us to take the dog? How do I avoid getting stuck with the dog? And it is not just for a vacation it is from now to June every year. And I don't want to seem rude or disrespectful, but I feel like I barely have time to care for my baby and my house and work, now a dog. A dog that messes in the house. Help Please.
