Need tax advice on second property?
I'm purchasing a second house, which I will rent to one of my kids. I understand that if i rent at fair market value, I can deduct interest expense, real estate tax, repairs, etc. What are the tax implications if I rent at below market to him? Thanks for answering!
6 AnswersUnited States10 years ago20 inch rims - disposal?
I have four fancy rims from my 350Z which I bought used. I eventually replaced the tires and rims with 19" equipment - the tires were shot and I was told the car would handle better with the 19" tires. The old rims still have old tires on them and two need straightening. What's the best way to get rid of these? Do they have any value either to sell or at a recycling place? Thanks for any help.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoQuestion about old IRA accounts and taxes?
I have an IRA that I started in 1978, under old rules. I did not have any other retirement account at that time. I have never added more money to the IRA since opening the initial account, although I have rolled it over several times, most recently (maybe 15 years ago) into a self-directed brokerage account (still an IRA). I simply don't remember - given that I set this up in 1978, would this have been after- or before-tax dollars? Will I owe tax when I withdraw the funds? Thanks for your advice!
3 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoIs there a way to rejuvenate Velcro on a Jeep Wrangler softtop?
The Velcro on my Wrangler softtop (around window frames, etc.) doesn't stick anymore. Is there anyway to rejuvenate it? Or what about just gluing it permanently? Any suggested adhesive? Thanks!
