I have an old HP dx2250, and I'm trying to upgrade my ram. It takes pc2-5300 DDR2 667MHz ram. I bought 2x2GB ram sticks of ram matching this (hoping to upgrade to a total of 4GB as aposed to the measly 1GB of slower ram it had on it before)

I can install one stick, but not the other. If I install both, my computer wont display to the monitor. I've tried several monitors as well, with no luck. Also, if I include one new RAM stick with one of the old RAM sticks, it still works just fine. But the second I put both of the new RAM sticks in, it won't display to the monitor. I've tried everything it seems, and am at my wits end...10 points to whoever can help me with this. Thank you so much.

bios: pheonix awardbios v6.00pg

For example, I've got my router broadcasting my internet, and my neighbor (who is a close friend of mine, we both have an understanding that we use each others internet from time to time) is broadcasting his internet, could I connect to both broadcasts for faster internet speed?

And if it is, can you give me step by step instructions on how to obtain it for my phone? Sorry, I'm not very savvy with this stuff.

Hey guys. Sorry, I have a feeling I'm going to write a lot, I appreciate anybody that reads this all, and especially appreciate anybody who takes the time to answer.

I am currently with my girlfriend of nearly 4 years. We met my Freshman year and her Junior year. I'm a senior now, and she's been in college for a couple years. Last year, around the end of October to the end of December, she was cheating on me. Also in that same span of time, I became homeless as my asshole dad kicked my *** and through me out. So basically it was a very rough time for me.

I ended up living with my best friend that I've known since elementary school. Her and her family are like a second family to me.

I lived with her for three weeks, until I found a place on my own. I kindof started to develop strong feelings for her, but ignored them because I figured it was because I had a messy breakup recently with my long-time girlfriend.

Toward the end of last school year, my girlfriend and I got back together. Things haven't really been the same, but I do love her and I know I can trust her. I know she is sorry, and I know that she will never, ever do that again.

But recently, my best friend came back in my life. My strong feelings for her resurfaced, and now I'm having trouble deciding what to do. I love my girlfriend. I love my best friend. I am very confused, and I don't know what to do.

What would you do? Why? Thank you, everyone who reads this novel.

Just bought a new computer, wanted to test out its brute force :)

I have a couple "cpu taxing" programs that compute lucas-lehmur iterations, which is great for a stress test but I get no real "results" from my cpu. I figure if I create a random password for a RAR file and crack it that might be kinda fun :)

if i create a partition on my hdd and put files on it, will it be erased if i reinstall Windows xp?

i have pictures that i want to keep, but my OS desperately needs to be reinstalled. i do not have access to cd+rws or dvd+rs or anything like that right now, so can i create a partition, place my pictures on it, then reinstall Windows XP? or will it completely erase everything?

This is quite the conundrum for me..my girlfriend and I have been very happy together ever since we met. we get along famously, have excellent chemistry together, and even our families get along great. my parents practically adore her, and her parents invite me to go on family vacations.

its almost like we are part of eachothers family.

but here is the weird part..we have been together for over 4 years. but lately (the past 4-5 months or so) i have been getting an increasing feeling of claustraphobia..sort of like the walls are closing in on me whenever we are around eachother. it seems like she is so clingy, and it makes it hard to breath sometimes.

the really scary part: sometimes, when i really feel like i need a moment to myself, i get so depressed that i can't even see her good sides anymore. all i see is how she is all over me and i don't ever get a moment to myself. when we are with eachother, i feel like i'm a flame getting smuthered.

i blame myself, because she hasn't changed at all since we met. we both were really clingy to eachother, and now for some reason, i feel like i've had enough.

every "solution" i come up with has a downside too great for me to do. for example, if i were to just tell her that i need some space, i'm so afraid of hurting her feelings because i do love her, deeply.

is there anybody else that has felt this way before as well, guy or girl? or am i just a broken and crazy guy? if so, what did you do about it? any suggestions? or i see no positive way out of this, because i truly do love this girl to death..

I just recently bought a Gateway Laptop with 4GB DDR2, but my graphics card is only 128MB. i would really like to have the OPTION of running higher end computer games but unfortunately, buying a larger Graphics Card is out of the question, so would it make a difference if i bought more RAM? or do i even need more ram in the first place? any info on the subject would be mucho appreciated :) thank you!

I just recently bought a laptop computer from Fry's. Its a Gateway model MD7820U. It's got an Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 2.00 GHz (I skimped on the processor I know =] ) 4 GB RAM on Windows Vista x64. Also, according to http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/5%E2%80%A6 I have an Intel Graphics Media Accellerator 4500 series, giving me quote, "more than 1 GB dynamic video memory", but when scanned by the GAME-O-METER, it only registers as 128 mb of ram. the other specs of my computer do just fine to make up for it, but i want full functionality for my computer. Before i found all of this out, i talked to a Fry's representative, and he said that when i buy a laptop like this, more often then not, they have it configured to only use a fraction of my actual video ram, and when needed it borrows from my DDR 2 ram. he said there was a way to fix this, but I have no idea how and for some reason, they arent answering their phones today (maybe they are closed on saturday and sunday?)

anyway, i would highly appreciate any information anybody might have on the matter. i made a yahoo profile just for this question lol :)
