  • What's a good media player for Windows?

I've decided to move on from iTunes, and I'm looking for a good alternative. I don't need anything elaborate - I only ever play music, and I basically just want a program that can keep my collection organized, display basic information, and support playlists. I'm looking into Winamp, but are there other programs that I should consider instead?

  • Make up a recipe out of whole cloth: what is in "kuang steak"?

Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal is a poorly-translated bootleg game that has, strangely, led to the creation of recipes based on its mistranslations. The phrase "kuang steak" came up in a YouTube playthrough of it, and because I am a total loser, I want to make some and eat it.

I am giving you free reign to make up your own kuang steak recipe for me to try. BA goes to the one I think sounds most delicious.

  • Did you know that Kenny Loggins was once a renowned surgeon?

It's true. He did procedures on patients who had been injured in accidents. He only started his music career after losing his job at a prestigious hospital.

His last patient was a woman who had a factory job, and had been severely damaged by a piece of machinery there. She lost one arm entirely, had several fingers missing on the other, and her feet were nearly severed at the ankles. Dr. Loggins was asked to help save this woman, and so he did. Eventually she recovered and was discharged from the hospital.

However, that was not the end of it. Not long afterwards, Dr. Loggins found a malpractice lawsuit filed against him. The woman had experienced complications, and was enraged at the quality of treatment she had received. Turns out that after suffering a significant leg injury at home, she discovered she still had a foot loose.

  • Can anyone identify this book for me?

I checked it out from my high school library and remember enjoying it, but my memory is hazy and I can't recall the title.

    - If I had to pick a genre, I'd call it suspense, possibly mystery.

    - Can't remember exactly when it was written, but it was definitely pre-21st century. Was set in what would be present day at the time of writing, so I'd say between 1970 and 1990 or so.

    - Main characters were an English girl of about 13, and an Italian-American boy who was a few years older.

    - Girl and her father moved to the United States, but nobody in town has actually seen the father. Girl insists that he's just very busy.

    - Girl and boy strike up a friendship, and he eventually learns that she's poisoned her crazy abusive mother with cyanide-laced cookies. I can't remember whether the father met the same fate, but I think he did.

  • What other Pokemon should I use in my Alpha Sapphire team?

I definitely want to use Sceptile, Swellow, and Heracross. This is non-negotiable. However, I don't know what other three Pokemon to use. The new Hoenn regional dex hasn't been confirmed yet, but let's work on the assumption that it's the same as in the originals, but with the addition of Probopass, Magnezone, Rhyperior, Gallade, and Froslass.
