The ship sinks (despite the result being 64.1 which means equal to the const)

I am studying C++ and one example is 3.0 / 4.0 + 3 + 2 / 5 = 3.75.

How is this calculated?

If I use the Order of operations I get this:

3.0 / 4.0 + 3 + 2 / 5

0.75 + 3 + 0.4

4.15

If I do it in order this happens:

3.0 / 4.0 + 3 + 2 / 5

0.75 + 3 + 2 / 5

3.75 + 2 / 5

5.75 / 5

1.15

Maybe I've been at this for too long and need to take a break, but I really need to understand what happens here.

Since this question deals with a very sensitive topic I just want to first warn anybody reading this that the condition discussed here is not for sensitive viewers.

In 2011 I had a left hemicolectomy done because my colon was longer than normal. The catheter UTI 2 weeks later. My GP treated this with an antibiotic and Urizone. About 4 months later a swelling started forming on my left side. The doctor said that it will subside.

June last year (2014) swelling was the size of a golf ball. I went to see my surgeon. I had an ultrasound done and the hydrocele was diagnosed.

The next day I saw a urologist. He did a urine test said the main cause was epididymis. He gave me a course of antibiotics and said I must apply heat to promote blood flow.

He scheduled me for a cystoscopy to check for a possible stricture. Then I found out the medical aid dropped me and I cancelled any further treatment.

By June this year the hydrocele was a tennis ball - uncomfortable, obvious through bulge in pants and hurting my right testis. I decided to go to a government hospital and after many appointments and tests (another ultrasound and a voiding cystourethrogram) The doctor said nothing else is wrong. I am now scheduled for a hydrocelectomy with local anaesthesia within a few days.

Being a government hospital the doctor did not have the time to discuss the procedure with me so I am at a total loss as to what to expect before, during and after. I am South African, for the record.

4 years ago I bought myself a decent gaming PC for ZAR11000 with the following specs:

4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM

Seagate 1TB harddrive (storage)

Western Digital 160GB harddrive (operating system)

Well since then my PC met lightning and I had to do a budget repair replacing the 9800GT with a Forsa GTS450 (192 bit bus and GDDR5 memory) and the ASUS P5QL-EM motherboard.

I can't add more RAM because of the chipset limitation and my GPU needs an upgrade to run the latest games at max.

So upgrade time:

Core i5 3550 processor 3.3GHz

Evga GTX560 2GB Superclocked

8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM

ASUS P8Z77-M motherboard

120GB solid state drive (operating system)

This will cost me ZAR10000 but due to being employed by a IT company I'll get off paying around ZAR75000

I know this will seriously waste the latest games but I need regular and serious guys to give their opinions especially on the graphics card. I wanted to thake the ASUS GTX560 CU but a customer bought it and I built the guy's PC (P8Z77V-LX plus the graphics card and also a 3550) and we can't source ASUS cards any more but Evga instead. Any thoughts?

I have a pretty expensive computer +- a year of age.

A month ago I got ADSL and all that jazz (it connects with my ethernet port).

Last night 2 sudden lightning strikes rang out basically on top of the house and the power tripped.

After turning on the power I tried to start the PC...nothing, the modem was also dead.

I had a lot of gadgets like a printer, scanner, DVD, router, monitor, PC and TV running from the same outlet.

Only the router and PC was dead. My motherboard's lights flash(it is a rampage formula). I can smell the distinct odour of fried circuitry. I tested the surge protector, UPS and all those "lightning protectors" - strangely my PC's power supply is 100% fine.

My conclusion is thus:

*Lightning hits telephone line

*Lightning travels to router

*Router gets blasted

*Surge travels to ethernet cable

*Surge reaches PC's ethernet port and motherboard meets his fortune

===What a mess that is!

The other PC in the house with its own router is fina as well as the telephone.

Any ideas to if this might be the case and if insurance might cover the expenses, else it is one expensive white elephant!

My dad bought a yong veiled chameleon on Monday(yesterday). He is about 10cm long. When we put him into the vivarium he started to climbed and we were stunned to see he is shaking, not lightly, but extremely bad. So bad he could scarcely climb. He ate 4 crickets in short succession. This morning we found him just lying on the floor. He is alive. He constantly looks around. He is also shedding his skin.

My sister's cockatiel has super huge poops once a day. Yesterday I noticed she doesn't poop anymore. We looked and it appears that there is some type of flesh hanging out at the "rear end". It doesn't bleed. It appears to be painful. We pulled it out a few millimeters. She now poops some black, foul-smelling waste. The vet can't see us for 2 days. What can I do in the meantime to keep her stable???

She is 1-and-a-half years old. She still eats a lot.

My PC is driving me mad.
