I'm doing the 30 hour famine at my school that is coming up in a few weeks, and I want to raise as much money as possible because it is such an important cause. Any ideas about how I can raise a lot?

Okay so I have started to write a story, only the prologue so far, and I just wanted to get some opinions on it. Thanks for the help, 10 points for best answer! :)

*Prologue*

Wind blowing through my hair. Legs racing on the gravel. I look behind me for a moment and see that he’s gaining on me. This can’t be happening. After everything that I’ve done to avoid this situation, here it is. This is a game that I am about to lose.

“Come on Tori, you know you can do better!” he yells up at me. He is merely a few footsteps behind me now. I push as hard as I can, harder than I ever had before. He zooms by me, laughing as he crosses the finish line, seconds before I do.

“I can’t believe it!” he exclaims, panting. “I can’t believe you actually thought you could beat the school’s best track runner in a race!”

“Oh, shut up, Patrick.” I snap, shoving him off balance. He falls into the grass beside the track. “I was winning!” He just laughs as he stands up. I shake my head, and shove him away as he tries to hug me. Boyfriends. They think you will forgive them so easily when they just kicked your butt in the 400m race.

He started to chase me, and we both ran around, laughing like idiots. I guess that’s why neither of us noticed the van pulling into the parking lot beside the track. I later saw it in pictures. It was all white, no windows besides the windshield. I should have seen it. But if I had, what would I have done if I saw the man step out with a gun? In an open field, it is pretty hard to outrun a gun, no matter how fast you are.

Patrick had stopped chasing me, noticing the van and the man. He started to yell at me to run, but he was cut off by the loud gunshot. I ran away, as fast as I could, thinking that Patrick was right behind me. There were more gunshots. I ran straight to the police station. That was where I found out that Patrick hadn’t been as lucky as I had. That was when I found out that there would be no one to race with anymore. No one to chase me around until I hugged him. Patrick was dead, and the people who had killed him were never found.

I need some last names for characters in a story I am writing.

If you could just list a bunch that would be great!

Okay so my friend and I are starting grade 10 in september, and she has a crush on a grade 12. She wants to talk to him, but she doesn't really have the confidence too, and she wants me to help her build her confidence, but I'm not really sure how to start. Any ideas?

I like this guy and we are both in the same grade and go to school together. I like him for all of grade 9, and for a lot of it he liked me back too, but neither of us asked the other out. At the end of the year I introduced him to my best friend, and she tells me that he texts her a lot and doesn't leave her alone now. She doesn`t like him, but I know he likes her, so should I just forget about him and move on, because I don`t want to waste my time liking him if there is no point. Thank you ahead of time!

Okay I have this idea for a horror story. It is about 5 teens who decide to take the long route home after watching a movie because of traffic. The longer route is through a forest. But once they are about half-way through the forest, their car breaks down so they are forced to walk. Basically, the teens keep getting killed off one by one, and only one survives in the end, but after watching his friends being killed, he commits suicide.

So basically I am just wondering if it sounds too cliche, or what I can do to make it sound better and be more interesting. And if you happen to have any ideas for the title, that would be great too.

There is this guy that I text back and forth a lot, and I like him, but I have no idea if he likes me. When we are in person we joke around a lot, and when we text we joke around, but then we sort of have serious conversations too. He's really sweet and I like him, but I don't know if he likes me. Sometimes I think that he is hinting at something, but I can't really tell. And when I ask him what he means by it, he just sends a smiley face or something like that. Do you think he likes me?

Okay so I have this one friend who keeps ditching me and my other friend a lot for this other group of girls who she claimed to have hated at the beginning of the year. Her new group of friends doesn't know that she hated them, and I'm not the kind of person who would go off and tell them. Basically I feel like a backup plan because she only hangs out with us when the others are busy or something like that. I'm just not really sure what to say to her because I don't feel like being a backup plan anymore, since it is getting really old. Any ideas about what I can do without losing her friendship altogether? Thanks :)
