I applied for an HKSAR id and passport in August 2012, and was wondering how long it takes to get both. The Chinese consulate in SF said they'd notify me to pick up my ID when it was ready, while the HK gov would mail it to me. I have neither gotten a call or any mail for both items.

I was born in China, but received HK citizenship pre-1997 before moving to the States in the early 90s.

The pipe leading to the shower head broke on Thursday night, so we called the landlord's assistant to check it out and fix it. On Friday, the handyman said that he couldn't fix it, so the assistant told us to call the landlord directly. We called the landlord twice, once on Friday and the next time on Saturday and no one has come at all. Where do I go to file a complaint against him? We don't have any hot water and have resorted to taking cold showers.

We live in Oakland, CA. Who do we call to complain about this issue so that we can start having hot water again?

I'm 21, never been kissed, never gone on a real date, and never had a boyfriend. I go to a top uni, and I'm incredibly ambitious. In fact, when I tell people what my life goals are and what/where I'm studying, they're blown away by how driven I am. I've had people praise my intellect and drive.

I'm also really social and bubbly, and everyone around me thinks I'm very confident in myself and my life. I'm super involved in school, so I know a lot of people. I have a lot of friends/acquaintances Most people who've I've met once remember me because I make a strong impression on them.

(Not that this matters-- I have a good body and I'm not unattractive.) I don't have body image issues, and most of my insecurities are about school work. Except every now and then, I get envious of my friends because they're all in solid relationships while I've never even gotten close to first base.

But I can't seem to get a boyfriend or much less asked out on a date. In fact, I've been friend-zoned multiple times. What can I do? Everyone tells me that it happens when I least expect it. But I'm fed up because I'm graduating from uni soon, and I've never even had a date. My friends keep on telling me that it's better to wait for someone, and that I'm the type who will only ever date one guy and marry him. I've been looking over so many responses on all these different websites, but I feel like the advice is very generic.

I am a Chinese citizen looking to fly from San Francisco, California to Hong Kong, China next year. However, I do not know if I need to apply for a visa from the Chinese Embassy, or can I just fly in without any paperwork. I am also interested in visiting Beijing, and do not know if I need a visa for that also.
