My school requires the use a specific documents, they are in .doc format. I use Apple pages on my iPad but I am having difficulty using the forms required because the intrinsic conversion pages does when loading the document does not carry over the formatting properly, nor do the tables format correctly.

I have a PC and the iPad, no Mac. So any results cant include using a mac then sending to iPad.

So I have a "Homegroup" for mine and my wifes laptops (win 7 on both) so we can share things, work on things together etc. The problem is that I have a Kodak esp 5 printer that really can't be put anywhere near where we use the laptops. This means walking back and forth in order to print anything.

I have a Win XP desktop in the same room as the printer, does anyone know a way of connecting the WIN XP system to allow us to use the printer via the network?

I know the obvious answer is to buy a printer with wireless capabilities but I would rather not spend the money if I don't have to as the ESP 5 works great and there isn't much reason to replace it as of yet.

Also it isnt too important that the win xp system can do anything other than share the printer with the network because I don't use the desktop anymore... It is turned off most of the time and recently formatted.

So the local city where I live has begun using a para-glider for some of its activities. I was discussing it with a friend and the topic of the officers being an easy and exposed target came up and we both were stumped as to what the officers response could entail. Then we starting talking about what armed response, if any, police could use and in what situations they are legally allowed to engage.

I am obviously not advocating any harm come to the officers, but it is not an impossibility. I know helicopters have the speed and maneuverability to flee from any danger, but a para-glider would have more trouble, I believe.

So my question is thus ; Could the officers (in para-glider or helicopter) fire their sidearms in self defense if being engaged? Could they fire in defense of a life other than their own? What about property? Legally, does it change things if the weapon is permanently mounted to the vehicle, or if it is readily removable? What about an automatic rifle compared to the officer's own sidearms?
