  • FileZilla & Windows 8?

When I try to connect to my server using Windows 8 & FileZilla I get an error telling me the wrong ID or password. But the ID & password are correct. I recheck my password & ID, they work under Window 7. I have tried other FTP programs and I get same error. I turn off the firewall & other blockers in Windows 8 doesn't help. What do I need to set to make FTP to work?

  • Missing pin to Icons on my Task bar?

Using Windows 7 Ultimate 64x. I have no icons on my task bar. I have tried all tricks to get them back, so far nothing is working. I tried some third party addons, but they are not like the ones under windows. Check for malware, updated my video driver, still no icons. I patch my registry per instructions from different web sites. I tried all the tricks under task bar proprieties, change size, increase the size of task bar and other tries.

The only icons are open software and the normal ones to the right side and start orb on left.

What else I need to do to fix the problem?

  • Non working computer with Parts are new.?

    What is wrong this computer?

Installed a new motherboard TA780G M2+, new 450 power supply, new from the box AMD 7750 X2 Dual processor 64 bit. 4 Gb of ram and new 250 Gb hard drive. It has nVidia Video build in to MOBO.

Nothing on monitor, so memory is bad. I removed one stick tried again. Nothing. Then I put the other memory stick in and tried again.

    Still nothing.

Maybe the AMD is bad, so I pulled other AMD CPU with like specs from working systems and memory. Plug in memory from the working computer, nothing, Now I tried the AMD from working system with working memory, again nothing.

Then for testing the new CPU, plug into my working system, nothing. I put back the working CPU in working computer with new memory , no problems.

I tried other video card, still nothing on the screen. No post information.

I have reset the bios by moving the jumper and removed the battery and replaced.

The video card and monitor are good, I installed the video card into other motherboard on working computer.

The motheboard lights are on and drives lights are on. The CPU fan is working. No beeps.

The power supply is good, I have all correct voltages. I replace the power supply with other workiing supply. Still not working.

Do I have bad motherboard? or just bad CPU? or Both? Why?

  • This is for Yahoo - Force OS type?

I hate when someone ask a question in the computer field and does not include the OS in the question.

For correct answer, I need to know the OS for each system has it own answers.

Example: How do you change the workgroup name to be the same across your network? You need need to this so the computers can talk to each other.
