Quick army question.?
So I'm in the DEP program and I have taken college classes and I have about 34 college credits and I was wondering if that was enough to get promoted to an E-2? I heard somewhere that you only needed 15 but I just wanted to confirm.
3 AnswersMilitary9 years agoJust a quick ole question about military personalities.?
It's an odd question, but I was wondering if there were certain personality types that join the military specifically the army? What type of people with similar personalities pop up on occasion? Like the gung ho type of personality or the more introverted? I was just wondering because I'm shipping out pretty soon and I just want to know what type of personality I could relate to. It could be too general of a question because everyone is different, but I was just wondering.

One of my good friends that joined has a mental history with depression. He however lied to MEPs about it and told me that if you don't say anything and you exhibit no symptoms than they won't ask questions. I'm just worried that he'll get caught and get a dishonorable discharge. He's determined to ship out. In all honesty I didn't even know he had depression until he told me. He's seen counselors and taken antidepressants but stopped taking it a while back. I mean he seems fine to me. What should I do?
9 AnswersMilitary10 years agoArmy or Air force?????? Should I or shouldn't I?
I finished MEPs and did the first Oath, and I'm waiting to be sent off to Basic Training. However, I'm technically enlisted in the army because I was a little pressured by close family(dad) who served for an extended period of time- and- trust me I did my research and I've recently realized that I really want to be in the air force instead because they have more benefits and they have better schooling. I can DEP, but I don't know if that's a good idea. I'm enlisted as a 68w and I scored a pretty high score on the ASVAB test. I'm just wondering because I really want to do college after the military and during, with the army will I have time to do college? Or is the air force a better choice. I feel terrible about this. I thought I had made a great decision until I read some responses about the army. I've also had people who have been a 68w tell me how dreadful it is. I want to get my RN and reenlist, but I want to know should I stick with the army or switch to the air force? Also, I am no quitter. I just need to know which decision could best effect my future career in the military.
