Apparently not "hypothyroidism"...WHAT IS IT?
Okay, I am ALWAYS fatigued. It doesn't matter if I sleep 6 1/2 or 8 1/2 hours, nor if I eat healthy food. I exercise 45 minutes a day, 6 days a week. I have almost all of the symptoms for hypothyroidism...I'm always run-down, cold, have food intolerances, irritability (recent), my hair is thinning out (recent), dry skin, trouble concentrating/remembering (recent), menstrual issues, and difficulty losing weight/have been gaining weight. I've gained 11 pounds since May; 4.4 of it has been within the last 3 weeks. We have hypothyroidism in the family. I just got my blood results back and they claim my levels are "normal".
I am at a loss. I'm sick of being tired all of the time, and I'm sick of the weight gain. I've been feeling this way for the past 5 years, but it's worsened within the last year. If it's not hypothyroidism, then what is it? =(
Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersOther - Diseases10 years agohow to solve these inequalities?
My teacher teaches us, say, sections 1.3-1.6 and expects us to go home and take a quiz over 1.3-1.8. A lot of the stuff isn't covered, and I can't figure out how to do these. I have answers to these samples, but I'm not sure how they came up with them...
1) 3/(2x-1) > -5/(x) answer: (1/2, infinity) U (0, 5/13)
2) 2x+1/(x-2) + 4/x = -8/[x(squared)-2x] answer: {-5/2}
3. Pipe1 fills a vat in 7 hours and pipe2 empties the same vat in 9 hours. How long will it take to fill the vat? answer: 63/2 hours

1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agocan certain parts of your body be immune to novacaine?
Today I went to the dentist to get two cavities filled: one on the top, and one on the bottom. The dentist ended up injecting me four different times with the numbing stuff (novacaine?) because the top part of my jaw never went numb. My whole face (from my eyebrow down to my chin) is completely numb, except for my upper jaw. Is it possible for my upper jaw is immune to the numbing substance?

I've read that I can just go to Home Depot unless the key has a computer chip on the inside. How can I tell? Does anyone know how much it would cost either at Home Depot or a dealership?

Help! This book is stupid. It has so many errors and doesn't even show you how to do most of these different types of problems. I can't figure out how to do this one:
The pharmacy has 400 ml. of a 20% solution. A total of 50 ml. is added to this solution. How many grams of active ingredient would there be in 5 oz. of this solution?
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agocancel AT&T contract...what money would be given back?
The other day, my boyfriend signed up for a 2-year contract with AT&T. The next day, he added me on as a family plan because I can't afford my T-Mobile and it's cheaper to split it between two people, but now I'm thinking I should just add his T-Mobile phone from his parents' account to my account so that I don't have to pay the $200 termination fee. When he signed up for AT&T, they said he would have to pay two bills next month: the first month of service as well as his last month of service. He also would be charged the activation fees. If we took my phone off of his service or cancelled both, there would not be an early termination fee, but would he get his money back for the activation fees and for his last month's bill (because if he cancels within 30 days, then technically that's only using the service for one month instead of two)?
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans1 decade agocan you use a t-mobile phone for an at&t pay as you go plan?
OKAY. So I had an injury happed almost 2 months ago, and I will not be able to drive for another 2 months. Therefore, I have no job and am running out of money, so I have to cancel my phone. I found that the best pay-as-you-go (pay-by-day) plan is with AT&T, but all their phones are expensive. Can I use one of my t-mobile phones with the plan?

I have a horribly painful cramp in my calf. Today it has spread further and now extends to the bottom of my foot. My lower leg and foot are in a cast, so I can't ice/massage it. Since I'm wearing a cast, my toes are already pulled upward. Elevating my leg does not help, and sitting/ standing up make it worse (I think the cast is becoming heavy due to lack of leg muscle use). It feels like it's getting worse, and I still have at least 2 weeks until I get my cast off. I've heard that calcium and water help. I've been drinking plenty of water, but cannot intake calcium because the calcium foods have milk in them, and I am highly lactose intolerant. What do I do? It's been like this for 3 days straight now. It hurts so bad that I feel natious.

2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agomy toe hurts and will not move upwards; what's wrong with it?
The other day I picked up a glass pitcher of orange juice and the bottom piece fell out onto the middle of my foot. I had to get stitches, but then noticed that I still couldn't put pressure on my foot like I was supposed to. My big toe as well as its connecting bone on the top and the side constantly ache, and I cannot lift my toe upward, no matter how hard I try. I can somewhat push my toe downwards, with effort. The urgent care doctor took x-rays and says that my foot looks fine. What could be the problem?
