What kind of grasslike plant is this (see photo)?
I took a picture of this flower/grass plant in a marshy area of my father's ranch in Navasota, Texas. They grow one to a stalk, each stalk is approximately 1 meter tall, and about as big around as a green onion, but solid. There is no smell when you break the stem.
1 AnswerGarden & Landscape1 decade agoI just adopted a solid black Chow/Border Collie mix - what should I name her?
The shelter gave her a generic stray name that I really don't like, but I'm having trouble coming up with something for her that fits. She's solid black, very furry, and has an open, alert expression on her face all the time.
Any suggestions?
13 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat made you decide to vote third party or independent in the November 2008 election?
... what third party has your support? and why?
Please don't pollute the legitimate answers to this question with disdainful comments about third party or independents. If you will be voting for a Democrat or a Republican, go troll one of the partisan questions.
7 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow can I propose to my boyfriend without emasculating him?
He's not your average dude, and the idea of having a woman propose to him is not the least bit embarrassing to him. He enjoys the attention of being in the spotlight, but I certainly don't want to create a spectacle, or make him feel uncomfortable in any way.
I think he would prefer a public proposal, but nothing extravagant. I have an guy's ring and matching watch to give him, in lieu of the big engagement ring most girls get. I've looked at marriage proposal suggestions, but they're (not surprisingly) mostly tailored to women.
Any suggestions, especially from an OPEN MINDED man's perspective would be greatly appreciated.
2 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoDoes anyone know the company that made this commerical?
The ad takes place on a frozen black lake, and a car (or several cars, I can't remember) races by an iceboat to put wind in its sails. There is a quick close up shot of the iceboat driver (presumably). I saw it on TV a few weeks ago, but can't remember the car company, or the car(s) featured. Can anyone help me out?
