  • I got my BFP!!! I can't believe it!!!!!!!?

I still can't believe it's true. After 8 months of ttc, God finally blessed us with a baby!!

AF was due March 3 and was a no-show. I had been having some minor right lower abdominal pain that went through to my back but little to no cramping. I was also having to urinate a lot. These weren't my usual symptoms of AF coming (I usually cramp pretty good), but I convinced myself that I probably had a UTI and that AF was just taking it easy on me this month. I was so tired of disappointments! Well, I woke up this morning (15dpo) at 1:00 and had to urinate and saw that AF still had not arrived, so I took a one of the tests (Early Pregnancy Test) that you can buy online and had a faint positive. I still didn't believe it, so I took a First Response test just a couple minutes ago (when I had to urinate again) and it was an immediate, strong BFP!!!!

I am so excited!!! I can't stop looking at those beautiful tests.

I haven't told my hubby yet- I want to get doctor confirmation before I do that. But, does anyone have any ideas on how to tell him? It can't be too subtle, because, God love him, he's pretty dense sometimes and wouldn't get it. He was with me when I found out about our daughter and I really want it to be fun when he finds out this time. Any thoughts?

Thank you to everyone who answered my many questions throughout this process. I know that I will have a wonderful 9 months. I don't care if I'm puking every 5 seconds, as long as the baby is healthy!!!

Good luck to all ttc and loads of sticky baby dust coming your way!!

    God bless!!

  • The wait is killer!!! Words of encouragement, please!?

DH and I have been ttc since Aug 2009 and AF is due today (Mar 6). On Monday, March 1, I had right lower abdominal pain that felt like ovulation pain (achy) and lasted a few hours. I'm trying not to hope (but am, anyway) that it was implantation pain. I started cramping on Thursday, Mar 4, and thought for sure that AF was coming. Well, I stopped cramping Friday and now have more of a discomfort feeling, but no cramping. I usually cramp until I start AF and a few days after. I am waiting until Sunday to see if AF shows before testing.

I am trying so hard not to get my hopes up and I don't want to test and see ANOTHER BFN. I am so tired of those. I keep trying to tell myself that my body is playing tricks on me and AF is going to show, but I can't keep that hope from flaring in my heart. I am so not looking forward to another disappointment and, no matter how hard I keep trying to convince myself that AF is coming, I can't keep from hoping that this is the month.

I know that I haven't been trying as long as some of you, but it is still so discouraging. I don't know how some of you do this for years! God bless you!

Any words of encouragement/advice would be appreciated.

The 2WW is the worst and the BFN's are horrible!

Thanks for your replies! Loads of baby dust to all of us ttc! God bless!

  • The wait is almost over, but...?

I'm in the last few days of my horrible 2WW and it's agonizing!

AF is due on the 6th and I've been having some right lower achy feelings- kind of how I feel when I'm ovulating, so I'm trying my hardest to not get my hopes up. We are "not trying" this month and just letting nature take it's course, but it's hard not checking my CM and counting days, especially since I've been doing it since August 2009 (not as long as some, I know, but still frustrating).

Only a few more days. I am not stressing. I am not stressing. I am not... okay, I'm TRYING not to stress- that's more accurate! :)

Anyone else in the same boat?

    How's everyone doing this month?

  • How is everyone doing this month?

Just wanting to know how all you ttc-ers out there are doing this month. Anyone (else) in the 2WW? Anyone get their BFP this month? Any good signs yet?

I have 4 days until AF is due and am trying my hardest not to get my hopes up, yet again, this month. My breast have been VERY tender and they only time they have been this tender (other than when I stopped birth control) was when I was preggo, so who knows. Like many others, I've been sure that "this month is the month" only to have AF show her lovely head. Only time will tell.

  • Regarding BBT (Basal Body Temp) Charting?

I've decided to start charting my BBT. My last two cycles have been very short and light and I want to make sure that I am ovulating.

The problem comes in that I work nights. Three nights a week, I work from 7pm-7am. I know that you are supposed to take your temp first thing in the morning before any activity (at least I believe that is correct), so would it been accurate if I take it around 7:30am every morning, since I'm just finishing my day part of the time and just starting it others?

Also, do you have an increase in your temp when ovulation occurs and, if so, how much should I look for.

    Thanks for any input!

    Merry Christmas and God Bless!

  • Do I understand this correctly?

Okay, this is a tad long, so bear with me please.

I've been keeping track of ovulation using myfertilitycharts.com and it predicted that I would ovulate on Nov 12 (how it got that date, I'm not sure). Every other site I looked at said that I would ovulated on Nov 10. I went with Nov 10, which would make AF come on Nov 24. Myfertilitycharts.com said that I would get AF on Nov 25.

So, on Nov 20-22, I started having very light bleeding that did not mimic AF. I only used 2 pads in 3 days, instead of the 3-4 I use daily on AF.

I took a hpt and a quantative blood test on Nov 24 and they were both BFN. On Nov 25-26, I had some pink-tinged turning into dark, brown spotting (only when wiping). Does that mean that I could have ovulated later and only implanted on Nov 25 or 26? HPT on Nov 26 was BFN.

So, if ovulation happened on Nov 12 and implantation happens 7-14 days after it, then that means I could have implanted on Nov 25 or 26 and that's why all the tests were BFN, right?

Do I understand this correctly? I'm still having preggo symptoms- really different AF, sore breasts, nausea only in the evening (every evening), and light, intermittent cramps (don't usually have after AF and have major ones with AF). These started on Nov 25.

I'm taking a hpt on Monday, but is my logic sound with this? I know it could be hopeful thinking, since DH and I have been ttc for 5 months, but I feel pregnant. My body isn't doing what it has been doing for the last 20 years with AF.

Any thoughts would be appreciated and thanks for sticking around for this long, drawn out question.

  • Any idea what's going on?

I posted this earlier, but am reposting it to get more input. Thanks to all who replied last time!

I was due to start AF today (Tues), but last Friday started having very light bleeding. It was bright red and lasted only 3 days (used only 2 pads in 3 days). This is completely not normal for me. I am usually very heavy. I've also had very minimal, if any, cramping.

I took a blood test today (I work in a hospital, so I have easy access) and it came out negative. I'm going to wait until next week to see if AF shows up for real and then go see my OB doctor, but has anyone experienced anything similar? DH and I have been ttc for 5 months and I would LOVE a positive, but I'm confused by my negative.

I've read that decidual bleeding (period-type bleeding during pregnancy- not really what I'm doing, but...) is due to hormonal imbalances, so I'm wondering if this might be messing up the pregnancy test. Any thoughts?

    Any help/adivce is appreciated!!

  • Implantation bleeding for 3 days?

I usually have a very regular-28-day cycle and was due to start on Tues the 24th. On Friday (4 days early), I started having light, bright red bleeding. I can't call it scant bleeding, but it has been very light. I'm usually pretty heavy with AF, but I've only been through 2 pads in the last 3 days. I'm currently not bleeding and have had very minor cramps. I usually cramp pretty bad. I have a hpt, but am waiting to test until I have some concentrated urine (I'm going to hold it as long as I can before testing).

My question is has anyone had implantation bleeding for 3 days before? And if so, did you go on to have a healthy pregnancy? DH and I have been trying for 5 months and I REALLY want to have this month be the month, but I also want a healthy pregnancy.

Any help at all will be appreciated and I will update with my hpt results. It might be too early still, since I'm not supposed to start for 2 more days, but we'll see.

    Thanks and God bless!

  • The horrible, horrible wait!?

DH and I have been ttc for 5 months now and I am on my last week of the 2WW. The wait is killing me! I've been having some slight lower abdominal cramps- kind of like AF is coming, but it's too soon- and I'm dying to know if this is the month! 7 days and counting until I can take the hpt!

    Anyone else in similar situations?

  • Anyone experienced this?

First of all- I am not asking if I am pregnant! I know none of you have a crystal ball that will magically tell me if I am -would be nice though! :p

    TMI to follow!

Here's the thing. AF is due in an agonizing 4 days. I've noticed an increase in cm today. It's slightly stretchy and wet. Normally, I'm pretty dry around AF starting. I feel like I'm ovulating again (lower abd cramping with the "wet" feeling).

Has anyone else experience this before AF starts? I would LOVE to think it is early preg symptoms, of course.

What could be the cause of this change in cm? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance and baby dust to all!!!

  • Anyone else in the same boat?

This isn't really a question, but I can make it one! :) I'm on the last 4 days before AF is due and the wait is killing me! This is only our 4th month trying, but 4 people around me are pregnant and I want to be so bad! Anyway, good luck to us all ttc and baby dust all around!

  • What does the cervix feel like?

DH and I are ttc and I know that one sign you are ovulating is that your cervix is open, but what does it feel like? I don't have a clue what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance!!!

  • Am I being too cautious?

My husband and I are having a disagreement and I was wanting to get another opinion on the subject. My husband locks our bedroom door because he believes (rightly so) that he would hear if someone was trying to get into our bedroom at night much easier with it locked than unlocked. Now, I agree with this and understand where he is coming from. However, we have a 14-month-old in another room and I don't want it to be easier to get into our room than it is to get into her room.

My husband states that we can't defend her if something happens to us, so we need to have the door locked, but while I understand that view, I don't agree with it. If it is easier to get into her room than ours, I'm afraid that any home-invader would just give up on our locked door and go to her unlocked door and we wouldn't even know anything was wrong!

We do use a baby monitor and I wake up at every sound, but I work nights and am afraid that my very, very deep sleeping husband wouldn't hear someone in her room (he doesn't wake up when I come home early unexpectedly).

Thoughts? I would really like to know if I'm being too cautious about this. Thanks if advance!

  • Side effects of birth control?

I was wondering if anyone knew about the side effects of stopping birth control. I was on Yaz for about 12 months and stopped taking it in January. I didn't have a period in February (which I was expecting). I ovulated on March 11 (I had pain in my ovaries, so I know exactly when it happened). I had intercourse on the morning of the 11th and about a week ago started having EXTREMELY tender breasts and lower back pain and abdominal cramping. I've had the back and abdominal cramping premenstral, but was wondering if the discontinuing of the Yaz could be causing the extremely tender breast? It's still a tad too soon for HPT, but I have never had breast pain like this, except when I was pregnant with my first baby. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance!

  • How much longer?

I am 39 weeks pregnant today and have been in "early labor" for a week. My cervix is dilated to a 3 and I am 60% effaced. I'm just wandering if anyone else has had the same situation.

This is my first pregnancy and I know that I can actually be late on my due date, but I've been having "regular contractions" that are about 5 minutes apart for 11 hours, then they stop. Then, they start in again for several hours and stop again. It is all so aggravating!

    Any words of encouragement?

  • 38 weeks pregnant with abdominal cramping and pressure?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and have been having mild abdominal cramps with rectal pressure that feels like I need to have a bowel movement. I've been trying to go, but can't. I've been having this for about 6 hours. I dropped about 2 1/2 weeks ago and passed my plug about 6 days ago. Is this early signs of labor or something else? I don't want to call my doctor and it be something stupid. Thanks for any help!
