  • Was it just too rough or should I be concerned?

About a week or so ago, my boyfriend and I were having sex. It was the first time we were together somewhere other than his car (oh, young romance) so we actually had the opportunity to do what we wanted. Anyway, the sex was on the rougher side. I wasn't feeling any pain other than the masochistic sort that comes with the territory. When we finished, I was just slightly sore (again, normal in my experience). I don't remember exactly how it came up, but he told me that I had bled a little.

I was embarrassed, but he was sweet about it. That's not the point. I'm more concerned about the blood. There was no blood in my panties the next morning or later that night. However, since then, I've noticed a slight amount of blood on the toilet paper when I pee after an orgasm.

I have to go to the GYN anyway to get back on birth control. I was on a six month prescription that has since expired, so I need a check up to get on a permanent one. If it persists, I'm going to bring it up at the appointment. I was just curious as to what everyone thought might be, if anything at all. Were we just going at it too hard, or could this actually be something? He's not too big, but I am pretty tight, if that's relevant.

  • Would joining the Peace Corps straight out of college help or hinder my ability to get a job when I come home?

I know it's possible to join the Peace Corps straight out of college is you're qualified. By the time I graduate, I will have my Bachelor's in English as well as my Master's in Education.

On one hand, working out of the country is experience in the field and shows that you can work flexibly in other cultures and out of your own element. On the other, I'm worried that spending that much time out of college before going into teaching here in the states will hurt my chances of getting a teaching job in an already-down market.

  • How would you feel if your child was being education by somebody with tattoos?

I'm an education major and I do have tattoos, with many more on the way. I've been smart enough over the years to keep them off places like my hands and neck. My question to parents is this; would it make you uncomfortable to know that your high school aged child is being taught by somebody with an extensive collection of tattoos? Do you feel it would detract from their ability to successfully educate your child? Would your reaction be different depending on the sex of the teacher?

I know that's more of a cluster of inquiries, but I'm just looking for the general reaction of parents to the idea. Regardless of what the majority feels, I do not plan on showing my tattoos at work. I'm just curious as to how people feel on the subject.

    Thanks.

  • How cold does it get at night in Lake George, NY?

I'm planning a trip to Lake George with a few friends for next summer. We were looking to go at the very end of June because it's right before the peak season price hike in motels.

I've been going to Lake George for years, but always with family and never that early in the year. When I went in July and August, it got pretty chilly at night (compared to the day, anyway). This is going to be my first vacation with only friends, so I want to make sure conditions are right.

Also, in an only slightly unrelated note, any tips for what to do while we're there? Like I said, I've been going for years but now that I'm older and I won't be with younger siblings I expect a little bit of a different experience. The people on the trip will be, by then, between 19 and 22.

Oh, and going out on a limb and crossing my fingers, does anybody know if Scotty's Motel has a minimum age to make a reservation?

Thanks, and sorry for the sidetracking.

  • I need help working out a few of the details of my next tattoo.?

Before I get started, I'd like to address Truth and all of the other people in the Tattoos section who were about to partake in shenanigans. Be gone, I don't want to hear it.

Moving on to the matter at hand. I'm getting my fifth tattoo sometime in the future- basically whenever I can afford it because I'm piss poor at the moment. It will be off to the right side of my chest, just about where arm meets chest (I hope that makes sense to you all). It's going to be the Tin Woodman (from the original Oz story, as illustrated by William Wallace Denslow). He will have his left hand over his heart (or lack thereof) and his right will be holding an umbrella over his head.

My main issue is what color to make the umbrella. Such a seemingly small detail has been driving me mad. I'm leaning most toward a light purple with a brown handle. Since I plan to have the tattoo in color, the Tin Woodman will be kind of a grayish-blue. I thought that light purple would go well.

I'm mostly just looking for thoughts and opinions, and if anybody has any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them.

    Thank you. (:

  • I can't figure out what this song is?

There is a scene in the movie Neverwas where Maggie (Brittany Murphy) and Zach (Aaron Eckhart) kiss for the first time. During their interaction, a song is playing in the background. I have NO idea what it is, but it's so pretty.

I couldn't pull out the lyrics, really, because the dialogue was over it, All I can tell you is that it's acoustic. I looked up the soundtrack and every song in the movie was there, all by Philip Glass, and none of them this song (which I'm positive of because none of the other songs had lyrics).

  • What song is this?

The guy has kind of a British accent..?

The lyrics are something like, "I'm in love with the way that you sing along to this song every time you hear it coming on.."

    And so on.

I really like it. It's kind of hip-hop.

If anybody could help me, that would be great.

    Thank you. :]

  • What are some good performing arts schools?

If anybody reading this has ever seen my other posts, I think you know that I want to be an actress. I'm not even in my freshman year yet, but at this point I really, strongly feel that this is what I want to do for a living. So I was wondering, what are some good performing arts colleges? Aside from Juliard, because, hell, that's practically impossible to get into. I want to start looking into what grades I need to be accepted to different schools. Along with the original question, I was wondering what some good strategies for getting parts are? Hopefully that made sense, I'm a little jittery at the moment so my speech is a liitle off. Basically, what I'm asking is "How do you get cast?" For the mopst part, anyway. I'm most interested in acting, I'm weak when it comes to singing, but I'm otherwise musically inclined. I am a violist and I'm learning drums as well. Any tips, actors and actresses of yahoo? How did you make it to where you are now? Thank you for any answers.

  • How can a young teenager make money resonabley?

So here's the story. I'm fourteen years old and it's very hard to find a job at my age. I'm not just some money hungry little brat, I have asspirations and dreams. My goal is to go to Frenchwoods Festival of the Performing Arts Summer Camp for the summer of 2008. I do not come from a rich family. I have a single working mother and I have not seen or heard from my father since I was six. He says he has no money, but I know he's lying. Anyway. The point of this whole thing is for me to be able to pay for a good portion of my tuition. I need to know how I can get as much money as possible saved up by next summer. Please, please, please, this is so important to me. I know it's hard to make it as an actress but that's not the point. The point is this is something I really want to do and I just need help brainstorming. Thank you for your answeres, anybody that replies.
