  • I'm going to Salem and Boston at the very beginning of May. I'm wondering what the weather is usually like and what I should wear?

Are pastels a bad choice to wear? Heavy coats, light layers etc. Help please.

  • My boyfriend was in a relationship for 7 years before he met me, almost married...?

His ex fiance broke up with him about a month before he met me. We have been together for almost 11 months now and he still gets sad and upset when for example tonight he saw something about his ex on instagram, he finally decided to un follow her. I don't understand why he was still following anyway. Now he feels the need to go out with his friends for a drink. When I asked if he was alright he said "not really." Is it normal for someone to still feel like this even when they've been dating and supposedly in love with someone else for 11 months? Should I understand since he was with her for 7 years? I'm confused and a bit hurt..

Is this dress appropriate for an evening wedding?

So, I was shot down on one dress I own. It was deemed too young and too short to wear to my friends 6:15 pm wedding. I am wondering if this one, I also own, is appropriate or a no go. I am 27, but everyone thinks I am 18 upon meeting me. I am 117 lbs, 5'6".

Is this appropriate for a 27 year old for an evening wedding?

I own this dress with a black satin belt instead of cream. Is it appropriate to wear to my friends evening wedding or should I get something more form fitting? Or more age appropriate... I'm 27.

  • Can I dye ash blonde over strawberry blonde?

I've been dying my hair red for years and I want to go back to blonde or my natural dirty blonde. I used color oops yesterday and it took out most of the dark color but left my hair a semi strawberry blonde. In other words it's sort of brassy. Is it possible to dye an ashy blonde over this color or would that just let the red tones shine through as well? I bought John Frieda tone correcting shampoo for blondes and I'm hoping that will tone down the brassiness as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Should I get an Otterbox for my iPhone?

I just spent 40 bucks to get an iPhone, with an upgrade, from Verizon and I'm not sure that I want to spend another 40-50 to get an Otterbox cover. Do I really need it? I mean I have dropped my Blackberry a bunch in the past and the silicon cover I had for it protected it every time. Could I get away with just getting a cheaper type of cover? Opinions please :)

  • Is the iphone 4 a good phone?

So today at work I dropped my Blackberry Tour in the toilet. Yup. I have it sitting in rice at the moment. If it does not work tomorrow I need a new phone obviously. On my Verizon account I switched my mom's upgrade to my line. I could get the iphone 4 for free. But.... is it a good phone? I need opinions on it please!

  • Need advice on financial aid, scholarships... etc?

Hi, I am looking to move to the Boston area to attend the Le Cordon Bleu school for pastry and baking. I was going to go a few years ago, but I had some money issues, now I am not sure what to do. I was wondering if anyone had an ideas about websites or any advice on how to get financial aid or scholarship money for this type of school? I also have another problem. They don't have on campus housing so I would need to find an apartment. Any advice on that would also be helpful. Thanks!

  • Is Central Square and the area around it unsafe?

I am moving to Cambridge for school in February and I fell in love with an apartment on Craigslist, but it is in the Central Square area, about a 9 min walk to the T. I am a girl in my 20's and I would like to be as safe as possible. I would prefer to live in Harvard Square, but that can be pricey. Any thought would be welcome, thanks!

  • Should I bring my parasol to use in Disney World?

I bought a parasol in EPCOT a few years ago, but have not brought it back to use since then. I am very fair and apply sunblock religiously, but I hate being in the sun at all. I always see people with them, because they have numerous stands to buy them there. I was wondering if I should bring mine with me on the plane and use it in the parks? Thanks.

  • Do the Eye Magic eye lift strips really work?

I am 24 and the other day I noticed that my left eyelid was drooping. My moms one eyelid has always been kind of droopy so I figured maybe it was hereditary. I was thinking of trying those Eye Magic eye lift strips. Can anyone tell me if they really work? I'd rather not go have surgery if there is a cheaper less painful fix....

Tonight when i took my makeup off I noticed my left eyelid was droopy. I am wondering if this is a problem or if it will probably go away tomorrow or in a few days? Thanks.

  • Why are the sizes on sewing patterns so much larger than normal clothing?

I was looking at a dress pattern I am going to make and thought I would be a size 4 like I am in regular clothes I get at a store, but the sizes of the bust waist and hips on the pattern lead me to a size 10, and even a size 12 on a different pattern. I don't understand the difference. Can anyone explain? Also, do I make the size "10" because my body measurements co inside with that or do I make a size 4?

  • Need advice about going on vacation with out bringing a friend....?

I am 24 so I should be able to get over this and just go, but my parents went camping for a few days with another family and their son, my friend went but he brought his gf, his cousin and her bf and his other cousin and his friend. I have grown up going camping with them and a bunch of other families which aren't going this trip, but he is 5 years younger than me. None of my friends can go because this was a short notice trip and they all have work. So I can either go and probably hang with my parents and the other set of adults which I don't mind soooo much, because I don't think I will be included with the 6 of them cuz theyre young. Or I could just stay home. I miss Knoebels and would like to go for a day or 2 but I'm not sure about going alone, what would all of you do?? Thanks in advance.

  • What size jigsaw blade should I use to cut 1/4" plywood?

I am trying to make a headboard and need to use a jigsaw to cut out my pattern. I am planning on using 1/4" sheet of plywood, but I'm not sure how thick the blade should be on the jigsaw. I borrowed my friends saw and the blade that came with it seems so thin like it would just snap off. I've never used one before so maybe this is how they all are. If anyone has any advice please let me know. Thanks
