Hyperthyroidism and thyroid nodules :(?
I am so scared. Dr. put me on Inderol this past Tuesday. Yesterday I had a sonogram, which showed many nodules. Dr. said do nothing but take the inderol, and see her in six weeks. I'm 42, female, and recently married. Never miss an annual physical. This was a shock. Any help on the subject would be appreciated.
1 AnswerOther - Diseases1 decade agoCan you sue a lawyer for negligence but NOT include a claim for malpractice?
If a lawyer at a firm gives your case to a first-year associate, and this associate does not know what he's doing, and three years later you have to hire a lawyer to finish you lawsuit, can you sue for damages (i.e. what you had to pay the new lawyer to finish your case)?? The new lawyer settled the case within months, but not for nearly what it was worth. Also, the ethics committee already found that the first-year associate acted "unethically", and admonished him.

It's really hard getting an attorney to sue another attorney. I put in a complaint to the Ethics Committee, and they found unethical conduct, amongst other things against my former attorney.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoBreach of Retainer??
My attorney withdraws after nearly three years of handling my lawsuit during the final Summary Judgment Motion (and the reason he gave was irreconc. differences), and I had to hire a new attorney to write the answer, and the new attorney charged me $7,500.00, plus 33.3 percent of settlement, and I did settle (for a really low amount - $25,000), did the first atty. breach our retainer and can I get the money I had to pay the second atty. back from him????
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoIf an attorney withdraws from your case with the court's permission, can you sue for Breach of Contract?
My lawyer dumped my case after nearly three years. We were at the final Motion for Summary Judgment when he decided not to proceed. I had to hire a lawyer to finish ONE MOTION! It cost me $7,500, plus 33 1/3% of the Settlement, if I survived the Motion. I survived the Motion & settled for not nearly what my case was worth. Did the first Lawyer breach our retainer?
