I have a 1099 in the amount of $5720. How much will I have to pay on this? Will I receive any money back on this? I know I have to claim it but is there a smart way to do it where I either won't owe as much or get more back? I will also be claiming 2 kids, a homestead and child care expenses.

My boyfriend couldn't make it to his last doctors appointment because our car broke down... so he set up a ride that never showed up which forced him to cancel his appointment at the last minute. He is currently on hydrocodone ( vicodine ) and when he went to his rescheduled appointment they said they won't refill the prescription because they never know if he's coming or going and they need to build the trust with him!?!!! He has only had to reschedule one other appointment with this doctor. We live in Wisconsin can you please tell me if this is legal and what we should or can do about this.

Note: He takes vicodine because the bottom 4 vertebrate's in his back are crushed causing constant pain for him... trying to get by till we can afford the first surgery.

My dad is actually the one looking for small business and home grants and loans. He says it seems like the only people they want to help are "minorities" (women, black, single mothers...) Is it me or doesn't that seem like discrimination? So has anyone heard of something that might help him besides any banks?

my brother in-law has a bad and i mean bad foot odor problem. it usually occurs after wearing his shoes or even sandles for the day. they have tried everything from scented foot spray / shoe spray to baking soda. can anyone suggest anything else for them to try. he is desprate!

my son is 4 and in pre k. his teacher is nice but tells him things like your hat is too small which it's not!!!!!! and that he should have stayed home because he was too sick to be in school because of his coughing which i already explained was just his asthma acting up and had a doctors note stateing he should be running ( which he was told to do in gym ) there has been a lot of these sort of comments made to him and it's starting to bug me cause it hurts his feeling. should i risk talking to her about it and having my son be treated bad or not do anything.
