Hey, unfortunately I dropped my Dell Inspirion 1545 laptop yesterday on the carpet, it was on and went off when I dropped it, I booted it back up and it ran like normal for about 5-10 minutes, I could use the internet and everything but then it freezes, I can move the mouse and move between windows still but the cursor is stuck as a loading circle and nothing responds, this happens everytime i reboot the laptop

I can't hear sound through headphones or speakers on my laptop except for itunes, I have tried media players and Youtube but nothing has sound, not even windows sounds are working, this only started suddenly a few hours ago, I have an Ad-Aware scan going atm, could that be doing anything? Right now there are only 3 countries in the world that have not converted to the metric system (Burma, Liberia, and the United States), why is the US so reluctant to switch to a system which is without a single doubt better than the imperial system (in terms of making sense), and is understood and used by almost the whole rest of the world?
