  • Any good blog name ideas?

I'm writing a blog on my life, essentially. My life is pretty dark--abusive parents, threats, friends' problems, all that stuff. But I have no idea what to call it! Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks a heap in advance. <3 And yeah, I know, this is probably in the wrong category, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it. Sorry!

  • Writing a poem; do you think it's good?

I need to write a poem for my ELA class. I need to know if it's any good. It's called "If the Sky Could Talk."

    If the sky could talk

Would it converse with a hawk

Or chatter with a lost balloon?

    If the sky could sing

    Would it herald the spring

Or join a sparrow in a tune?

But if the sky could speak

    What havoc would it wreak

When it saw our ruined planet?

    Would it thunder in rage

When it beheld this new age

    Of destroying things below it?

Or would it weep in sorrow

    When thinking of tomorrow

And the struggles that await us?

    But what if it cried

    Like the angles sighed

    As laws we do transgress?

    But perhaps it would preach

Like we are children to teach

    The secret of success.

    Or would it simply leave?

    Far, too far to retrieve,

Where it knew it could not be found?

I'm not done yet; I still have to add a few more stanzas. But is it any good? Please, no hate comments. Just some constructive criticism would be sufficient.

  • Birthday present ideas?

My friend invited me to her birthday, but she was sick and could only tell me this morning. Her party is tonight! Does anyone have any suggestions on what to give her? She's turning fourteen, but doesn't have her ears pierced. Thanks a heap. =]

I really don't know what the category should be, so just bear with me if there's any confusion.

  • Any book title ideas?

I'm almost done writing my book and after I've finished the editing process I'm going to send it into a publisher. I've been looking around for some titles, but I just can't seem to find one that fits. But here's what my story is about:

Humans are not alone. There is another humanoid species on our planet, the Va'alo, that have lived alongside humans since the dawn of time. But these creatures have special Gifts--"superpowers," if you will. The story follows two Va'alo girls, Rhea and JJ. Rhea is the bad girl, always trying to push for more freedom, but the strict rules of her society won't allow it. But one day she pushes too far, and her parents and leaders see no other option but to send her away to a prestigious boarding school. JJ, on the other hand, was adopted. Carrie, the woman that adopted her, never told her she wasn't human, leading her to believe that her Gift was something "wrong" with her. But finally she couldn't keep her in the dark any longer and sends her to a Va'alo boarding school to learn about her species. Rhea and JJ cross paths and soon become the best of friends. But they learn of dark secrets and plots within the society, rumors that could destroy their simple way of life. The Va'alo are planning to wage war on the humans, and the two girls are the only ones who hold the key to stopping it. Along the way they discover romance, friendship, and the truth about themselves.

Thank you to those of you who stuck with me to the end. I had a few ideas on the title myself, but I don't think they're very good:

    -Dark Whispers/Secrets

    -As the World Turns

    -The Moon's Tears

    -Chasing Shadows

So yeah, if you have any ideas, just let me know. Thanks a heap!

  • Any ideas for a book title?

I've been writing a book, and I really need some ideas for a title. The story is narrated by two girls, one who believes she is human and the other is part of the mystical species of the Va'alo, humanoid creatures with special Gifts--"superpowers". Both humans and Va'alo are terrified of each other and have preconceived notions of each group. The girl who is already within this society is a troublemaker, constantly bending the strict rules in order to find some freedom. She is sent to a boarding school to help with her horrid behavior. The second girl finally becomes aware of her true species and is sent by her adopted mother to a boarding school where she can learn about herself and how to control her Gift. The paths of the two girls cross and intertwine as they learn about the corruption and oppression within their society. Both the fate of humans and Va'alo rest on their shoulders as they learn about themselves, each other, and how to bring together two feuding worlds.

Okay, there it is, my horrible recap of a pretty good book, if I do say so myself. Anyway, I'm trying to find a title for it. I've been thinking about "As the World Turns," "Chasing Shadows," and "The Moon's Tears," but none of them really fit. Any suggestions?
