A question about the United States constitution regarding the justice system (the law) treating people equally?
I am looking to quote the United States constitution on 'equality before the law'. I found the 14th Amendment but it talks about equal protection whereas I am looking for equal application of the law (due process) and that is not the same thing. Please help me.
P.S I am not from the US so don't expect me to know this already. Cheers.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoWhy can't Google Maps (satellite view) depict steep terrain adequately?
I'm unsure how to attach a picture, so if you type "three sisters" in Google Maps and select the listing Three Sisters, Katoomba, New South Wales, then switch to satellite view and zoom you will find that the very edge of the town of Katoomba is spilling off its plateau and plunging into the steep valley below. In reality of course this is not the case. Why can't Google Maps satellite view do better?

For example, "Damn you autocorrect" is a work of fiction, imo. I tried Snopes but it is completely useless for the task.
1 AnswerOther - Internet8 years agoHow genetically similar are human beings and slime mould?
I have a bet with my brother - a six pack of beer over this. He says humans share "at least 90%" of our DNA with slime mould. I say that's rubbish. Please help me with this bet (proper references needed).
4 AnswersBiology9 years agoWhat proportion of global dill pickle production is purchased by McDonalds?
I rarely eat dill pickles or gherkins. When I do it's usually the dill pickles in a McDonald's hamburger. Just wondering how much of the global production of these green cucumber thingies goes into McDonald's burgers. Points go to the answer with the best sources.
Also, is "dill pickles" just another name for gherkins?
1 AnswerOther - Food & Drink9 years agoThunderstorms in movies and on TV: Simultaneous lightning and thunder?
As I write this question there is a thunderstorm overhead. As per usual a flash of lightning occurs and then roughly five seconds later I hear a rumble of thunder. Why is it NEVER like this in movies and TV shows? They always depict the lightning and thunder as simultaneous. I find this annoying. I cannot remember any scenes at all, in all the movies and TV shows I have seen, that break with this false convention.

Wouldn't that be fantastic?

6 AnswersAstronomy & Space9 years agoA question about the clumpiness of the grouping of the brightest starts in the night sky...?
I'm in the Southern Hemisphere. When I look at the night sky, the brightest stars are clumped in a roughly 100 - 120 degree arc, stretching from Scorpius to Orion. Scorpius is relatively close (as viewed) to the fainter Sagittarius constellation, which I understand to be an approximation for the direction of the gallactic centre. My question is this: Why do most of the brightest starts arc in one direction away from Sagittarius, rather than what I would expect, which is Sagittarius sitting at roughly midway along this band.

Other similar countries like Britain and Australia have it and they haven't turned communist.
