I have a website in the making and a feature will be to calculate the distance between the user's home and another location.

The user will knowingly give the postcode of course.

it just seems that there may be problems with this.

lets say i make a game that uses the concept of the hunger games or gladiator but no names, places etc.

if it resembled the movie in some way could i be facing legal action?

is the naming a coincidence or does munster mean something in both cultures?

Where can i buy 8 small cheap lockable wooden boxes? they would preferably come with 2 keys.

small as in, can fit a few normal sized tickets.

Hi all

Recently i have been feeling just plain bad. I feel alone, i'm not alone as i have friends and family around. Yet the feeling sticks. I don't want to feel like this, I don't think i have a good reason to feel alone or down. I feel like i want to disappear for a while, but where would i go and what would i do?

any help and tips is appreciated

when setting up a connection via internet options in control panel this error message is shown. It may not be the router, but that is all i can think of.

I was banned from a nightclub in kingston and now cannot enter a few clubs at uni in plymouth (miles away). I don't know how long i am banned for. the reason i was banned is not important as it was a misunderstanding which has been sorted yet i am still banned.

Any ideas? the club was hippadrome in kingston.

ok so here's the deal:

I had a £350 deposit on my student house and my landlord is trying to take £170 of this leaving me with £180.If i thought they legitimately deserved £170 this would be no problem, but there are some issues.

Bill issues:

we went over on our bills fair enough, but the bill statements given to us start in august (tenancy starts in september) when i questioned i was told there was no-one living there so no electricity or gas usage. i find this hard to believe, even with no-one living there there will be minor usages?

damage issues:

A desk drawer cover has come off, they were charging me £20 for this and i don't see how this costs £20. when i disputed this i was returned with we are now removing the desk as it is unrepairable. there were other damages

other issues:

once i had started disputing these issues i was sent an email saying we are actually charging you less than we should, would you like us to charge you the correct amount. now this really upset me and caused me to write this.

any help would be great. :)

ok so i have an asus x501u and simple processes are using all my cpu, for example i have a single google chrome tab open with youtube playing. The video is barely watchable with it freezing a lot. other simple tasks such as itunes, windows media player and even accessing my emails are slow with the task manager stating a 90-100% cpu usage for those tasks not others. i have done the basic fixes such as resetting the laptop and reinstalling windows, but no luck. i am sure the processor should be able to handle these tasks and i am just confused.

any suggestions are appreciated and thanks in advance.

ok it's 5:40 here in the uk, since exams have been over this is the usual time i fall asleep. i want to get back into a normal sleeping pattern, should i try and stay up until a sensible time to go to sleep tonight?

or is that not going to help?

I am going to sign a contract soon for my second year university student housing, what happens after i sign the contract if i don't pass the first year? I believe i will pass, quite easily at that. I still want to know what will happen if i do fail and i don't get student finance to pay for the house.

I got back to university today from christmas break and I am already missing my friends back home so much It's really upsetting me. This happens every time I leave and return for the holidays. I know it will pass eventually, but for the moment it is really depressing me. I have friends at uni, but nothing can beat my friends back home. any advice?

my firm is AAC and my insurance is BBC, i believe i will only achieve BCC at the most.

my uni choice subject is Computer science and i take:

computing, will get a C at a push a B but unlikely

Maths, will get a B easily maybe an A if i can slaughter my next exam (need 92%)

classical civilization, i will get a C, but this is ify on both sides as it is possible to get both a D or a B

and i also did a small programming language course on Java which i have already achieved a distinction.

will these uni's even think twice once i get a most probable BCC?

i'm stressing out!

okay it's a wacky game where you can be Frankenstein and other wacky racers, there are two modes plain racing and royal rumble (knocking each other off a circular arena), if you don't know what i'm trying to describe then a list of wacky ps1 racing games will be great.

okay, I have sent my Ucas form and have firmly accepted cardiff university for computer science.

but i have realized i would absolutely love to study astro physics, the problem is i don't think my courses in college would allow me to do this in university. I have studied maths, computing and classical civilization. i assume i would have had to do physics in college to get into the course.

any ideas would help. If it would be to much hastle please say, as i don't feel like another 2 years at college. i don't mind a single gap year and get into astro physics next year.

I have applied for the same course at 5 different universities and have had conditional replies from them. the course being computer science.

I will get between BCD and BBC in my A levels, a B in maths, C-B in computing, D-C in classical civilisation and a Mertit-Distinction in Java programming.

There are two universities I am looking at, the first is Cardiff university asking for AAC.

The second being Aston university asking for BBB.

my predictions in my grades are almost certain, the Java qualification will give me a tiny boost, but do i risk it and go for Cardiff, or still take a risk and go for Aston? also what do i do if i don't get in?

the cost of the course is around £73,000 and i cannot afford that, not even close. I am 17, any ideas. details about the ideas would be nice, not just "get a loan", because i am only 17, i need to know how would i achieve your idea?

Okay I'm coming up 17 and am studying for my A levels in Maths, Computing and Classical Civ, but i really don't want a job in these areas. I don't think i could afford to pay for flying lessons. I was hoping to find an apprenticeship type deal. how could i start off? any more info you need tell me.
