I have two sets of dog stamps one from 1992 and other 1995. I'm trying to determine the country of origin. The stamps say "Sahara OCC. R.A.S.D." the denomination of currency is "Ptas." I have been trying for hours to figure this out. The dealer has the country as "Republic of Saharawi" but I'm not finding a lot of evidence of that being accurate.

I understand that territories change hands and the name of a country in 1992 or 1995 may very well be different today but I'm want to know what country actually released these stamps so I realize it may no longer exist today- all my stamps are by the country at the time the stamp was released.

Any help on these two collections would be great. Thanks!

I'm asking because I'm a stamp collector and am not certain how to classify my stamp from Oman. Many dealers have them listed as part of the United Arab Emirates but I don't think that's right.

I am in terrible shape and very over weight. I've decided to try to do something about this

Don't laugh- I got the wii fit game and it's kicking my butt- seriously don't laugh it's harder than you'd think- anyway I did all the workouts the first two days (about 2 hours each day) and now I'm on day three and am hurting...bad

I'm sure it's because I'm so out of shape to start with

Anyway- my husband says I need to take a day off from the wii fit to let my muscles relax or repair or something

Now I think I should keep pushing through- although I'm no athlete I do have the drive to keep going but I do want to be smart about it

Am I going to do some type of serious damage if I keep pushing through or should I give my muscles time to recover? How much time? One day enough or wait until the pain goes away?

*Maybe I've been watching too much Olympics because I feel like I need to keep going no matter what

My mom is 55 and had breast cancer 17yrs ago. She has just been diagnosed with secondary bone cancer- it is something "positive" (ER or PR??) Her treatment will be a pill everyday a monthly IV and possibly radiation for pain management.

It is "extremely widespread"- her skull, all down her spine and tailbone, ribs, arms, legs- basically everywhere but hands and feet.

6 yrs ago my dad died of pancreatic cancer- he was diagnosed in Jan and died May 5th. We knew nothing about pancreatic cancer and were completely taken off guard. I'm afraid the same is going to happen with my mom.

Her onc told her only that "50% of people with secondary bone cancer don't live longer than 4 years"

I don't know what to make of that- 4 years from when? diagnosis or when the cancer began to spread? Her's is so wide spread what does that mean for her prognosis?

She has lost about 40 pounds and looks like a skeleton- she's still working. I want her to quit but is that premature or should I encourage her to stop working and enjoy life while she still can?

Anyone have any knowledgeable information to give me? I realize no one knows for sure but certainly there is a basic idea out there about her prognosis.

Please- give it to me straight don't try to be a politican about it. I wish someone would have looked me in the eye and told me it was time to say goodbye to my dad I don't want the same thing to happen again but I also don't want to over react.

My husband and I are 30 and looking at term life insurance.

He's healthy as a horse with no illness in his family history and is the only source of income.

I on the other hand have Crohn's disease. My dad died at 49 of pancreatic cancer. My mom had breast cancer at 38 and now at 55 has secondary bone cancer and diabetes

.

So I'm going to cost a fortune to insure.

Since he's the only financial provider so his will be much higher than mine. Should I maybe make his 10yr and my smaller one 20?

Also what is a good company to go through?

I was diagnosed with Crohn's a few years ago and have had 1 bowel resecution. My father had Crohn's too.

I've been trying to lose some weight and eat less crap and more healthy food but I'm having a terrible time coming up with anything to eat. My doctor wants me to eat 6 small meals throughout the day but I can't come up with that much different stuff to eat.

For the last 2 weeks I've been trying to eat salads, veggies and fruit (all of which I love) but I can't take the pain anymore.

There just isn't very much processed food that is good for you.

I've eaten so much chicken I'm growing feathers.

I'm lactose intolerant and allergic to all fish.

How can I eat healthy? What am I missing here?

Am I the only one that thinks Bill Belichick is an *** for leaving his team on the field for that last 1 second play?

I realize the play was pointless but come on what does that say to his players that he wouldn't stand out there beside them?

Is it just me- because no one on TV has even mentioned it and I find it just horrible.

I am moving to Canada from the US next summer and am wondering if I should learn French. I'm thinking we'll be moving to southern Ontario but nothing is set in stone.

I know that English & French are both official languages but I feel obligated to know both.

(I guess I want to be a good asset to my new country)

I'm almost fluent in Spanish and I understand that French is close to Spanish so I may be able to pick it up easily.

My husband and I plan to move to Ontario next summer. And hopefully become citizens someday. I have a few questions for any Canadians please.

1. Cost of living- my husband is in a Union and will be making $30.03 an hour now that's a few dollars more than here and from what I've found the taxes are almost exactally the same 25-30% but I'm not sure about the cost of living difference- is this a doable wage?

2. The union provides excellent health insurance so do we forgo the goverment health or how does that work?

3. I'd like to live in the Niagara area - but that's not set in stone- however, I don't want to be in the middle of the tourist area are there any nice little towns maybe 25-45 minutes out that I should look at? Or just a different area althougher? My husband would live in a cabin in North Yukon (he'd be alone)

Anything else an American should know to avoid looking like an idiot?

A friend of mine was living with this guy for 3 years and thought he was going to propose. Instead, he came out.

She was furious. She came to me for help because one of my best friends (and ex-boyfriend) is gay. She hated her ex but I was trying to talk her into letting go of the hatred and trying to be there for him. We were making progress.

Then- she found God. She called me and said that I might be ok with being someones "f@g hag" but she wasn't.

She then called her ex a "stupid f@ggot". I told her that I didn't like that word and I found it to be hateful and please don't use it around me again. (I was very calm)

Then a few minutes later she says something about my best friend and I saying, "you and your little f@ggot friend"

I went off the deep end. I had already asked her not to use that word and now she's call someone I love that. I screamed at her awhile then hung up and we haven't talked since. I know she is going through a lot and I want to help but I don't know if I can.

I am a woman turning 30 in a couple months.

Nothing has changed; diet,exercise, weight- nothing.

So I am wondering what has caused this spike and how can I make sure it stays that way?

I was just at the doctor and they did a metabolism test where I had to breath into a tube attached to a machine for 10 minutes. This was to tell my metabolism rate... I'm assuming that's my BMR.

I am a 29 year old female 61 inches 200 pounds. The machine read that I used 1181 Kcal/day. I'm not sure what that means. I looked online to see what the BMR calculators say my BMR should be and they say around 1700.

So am I right in assuming this test showed that my actual BMR is much lower than it should be therefore my metabolism is slow? They didn't explain anything to me and I'm very concerned and confused.

If it is slow how do I speed it up or can the doctor help with that?

My doc just started me on Wellbutrin XL 150 mg daily for 1 week then up to 300 mg daily. I keep hearing from friends and family that it can take months for there to be any effects. Is that true? My doctor didn't say anything about that. She did say it can make my anxiety worse at first though. She gave me Xanax but it does nothing for me.

Anyone who has taken Wellbutrin; how long before you noticed any effects?

I just bought 2 new laptops and they came with Vista and I hate it. I was thinking about trying to downgrade to xp but it's going to cost a small fortune.

On Ebay I keep finding Linux XP 2007 with Ubuntu. I know very little about this OS. I'm looking for opinions and info.

How comprabable are Linux and Windows?

Am I going to have trouble loading my favorite games (Diablo II and Shadowbane) if I had Linux?

Also the people on Ebay are selling the set for like $2.99 that seems crazy, is it really that cheap or am I missing something here?

One more thing; I use Excel all the time how comprabable is the Linux spreadsheet?

Any other info I should know?
