  • backpacking in Bangkok?

The other day I read how Bangkok is the #2 tourist destination in the world. I've never had any interest in going there, but after reading a bunch of stuff about it it seems like a really interesting place. How much do you think would be a "decent" budget for a trip to Bangkok? Anyone here's been there before? Would $2500 suffice? (excluding airfare)

  • the decriminalization of marijuana?

i have expressed my dislike of the president-elect on this website and others numerous times. one thing that i started thinking about the other day was the possibility of the new president decriminalizing the usage of marijuana. i have always "looked forward" to a day where smoking a little weed won't be viewed as "criminal activity". i know that legalizing it will probably never happen, but maybe our new president can put forth some pro-marijuana legislation or something. even more considering that he himself has stated that he has used weed in the past.

  • recent air force basic training graduates?

ive been gettin real curious about the air force lately. after contemplating about literally all the other branches, the last one ive done research on seems very interesting. ive read how basic training was "upgraded" from 6 weeks to 8.5 weeks. but besides that, i want to hear the real deal from ACTUAL people who have ACTUALLY been through air force basic training, not posers who post crap like, "screw the air force" or "the air force sucks". gimme all the details, i don't care how mundane or stupid. haha

  • work/volunteer internationally?

im very interested in "working abroad" in a foreign country. i saw an opportunity to work in the australian outback on the website aideabroad.org and got really interested. i sent an email and got several responses, but what i failed to notice was that the price of the trip was $2500! i do not have that kind of money lying around at my disposal, so now my new dream literally disappeared from being a reality. i was wondering if anyone here knows of similiar programs that cost less money. volunteer work or actual work. help me out!
