I'm a BFA in photography, I've been shooting for the past 10 years (almost 11!), I maintain an online portfolio of my work and worked very hard in lab and sales for Ritz Camera on and off for three years. I am a traditionalist/purist and shoot only film, but I have experience in digital, photoshop, and illustrator (among others) that serve to round out my work. I am proficient in wet darkroom work and have some skill in other historic areas such as movable type letter press and book binding. I am a major supporter of folk/ traditional crafts and the antropological/historical roles that they play in society. Historic preservation, and the role that the arts play in that, is also of extream interest.
Possible to take pictures at concert in Masquerade club?
Can anyone tell me what the camera situation at the Atlanta show (The Masquerade) will be? I have been searching the net for the club's policies and have gotten the following, all from people who claim to "go to every concert there":
- they search for cameras and will take any they find
- they will search but if you have a small one you can hide it down your shirt and be safe
- they don't search but they do not allow cameras.
- they do not search, you aren't supposed to have them but you can get away with a small point-nd-shoot
- cameras are completely allowed you can bring any size model you want no problems!
See why I am confused? Is there anyone here that goes to the Masquerade on a regular basis and could clearify things for me? If not, is there anyone that went to the last Atlanta show and can help out? I will not be bringing my DSLR b/c I am afraid it will get dropped and I need it unbroken for my work. I would like to bring a midsized model though that is not a tiny point and shoot but is maybe half the size of a DSLR. It belongs to someone else though and I don't want to do anything that would risk their equipment getting confiscated and thus potentially lost/stolen/not returned.

Does Shuurei ever discover Sieran's true identity? I know that her father knows and I know that Ryuuki knows (as well as a couple others) but what about Shuurei?
1 AnswerComics & Animation1 decade agoWhen it comes to relationships, do "good guys" really feel like they are being passed over?
I know that on the other end, the "good girls" (or shall we say the good catches .. the ones that won't cheat etc.) feel that way and I'm wondering what it is like from a guys perspective. In the end do you think it's because there aren't enough good people out there, or has society gone so far south that people just don't want to find a good person, fall in love, and settle down? I don't have a particular reason for answering, I'm really just more curious than anything.
3 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoIs there a way to adapt my computer to play PAL format?
There is a DVD from France that I really want, but it only comes in Region 2 (no Region 0 ... I checked). When I lived in France, I had friends that somehow adapted their computer DVD players so they would play both Region 2 and Region1 (without having to switch their settings back and forth .. which you can only do like 4 times anyway) and instead were somehow able to "unlock" the region restriction. Is there a way to do this or is there something I can download that will allow me to do that for free or minimal cost? I've looked around and never seemed to find whatever it was that my friends were using ...
