For Hunting Red deer would you chose a .308 or a .270 and why.?
In NZ the largest animals we have are red deer or the occasional wapiti. Looking for a calibre that is suitable for them and have settled on one of these 2 calibres.Cost of ammo is a non issue for me.Just getting back into hunting and only ever used a .303 for 25 years so unsure of what .308 or .270 are like compared to each other.
