I just bought a package deal of a show bridle and bit. The bit has a pretty big port in it and it is a show bit so i would like to use it rather than my everyday bit. My trainer says it is called a correction bit. I put my horse in it and he was fine but he wasnt quite as responsive and i would have liked. ( he didnt collect his head and tuck it as well as usual) The bit i use everyday is a reining bit and looks like this.....

Will my horse eventually be okay with this bit or should i just sell it and use my other one? Basically will he eventually be as soft in the mouth in this harsher bit as he is in his bit now?

My friend of almost 2 years, my best friend that knows everything about me has totally left me. One day after vacation everything just changed instead of love i was getting insults from him with everthing i said. I want things to go back. we still sit at the same table at lunch because we have the same friends. But we hardly say 2 words to eachother. I use to talk to him everynight on the phone and we even fell asleep on the phone once. I have told him alot about myself and in the process im personally hurt. We use to be really close and i really miss that. Whenever i try to ask him whats up he doesnt completly answer. i want to be able to forget but my heart is broken. But when he does pay attention to me it is like im the one thats makeing it awkward. Just tell me what you think and such.

I am looking at a four year old appaloosa gelding that apparently has foundered when he was a few months old because he was being used for halter classes and was probably on a high carb diet and maybe even staroids, not sure. I want to do western pleasure and halter with him. He is currently being fed little grain and about 1/2 a bale of hay a day. Could he be ok? he doesnt show any signs of lameness unless he is walking on a hard surface sometimes and he has shoes on. I am telling you as much as i know incase it has an affect on the answer. can i use a snaffle bit in an open western pleasure show?? i have only ridden my horse in a snaffle and i am training him for western pleasure, he has only been in a snaffle bit and a hackamore. Will i be able to show him in a class witha snaffle?

i just bought a new horse he is a 12 year old gelding. When i rode him at the previos owners he did very well. WE just moved him to our barn how many days should i let him get use to his new surroundings before i ride him, and should a w/t/c right off or wait a few more days?? i just want to do what is best for my boy

people asked about my eating habits...i eat a good amount of food and i also eat healthy i always make sure to eat a balanced meal. I am a runner and i play field hockey....i have been this way all of my life...if you ask my friends that know me really well they say i eat alot for being skinny.. and the junk in the trunk thing only means that i do have a butt its not like giant or like tinnnyyy. i dont see myself as fat i think i look a bit to thin but i eat and exersize so..yah
