Lisa Wrestled a Bear Once

It seems like I've had my period for over a month now. I am 17, first got my period in the 6th grade, and my periods have always been irregular. I'm also tall and skinny, only about 110lbs. Throughout this month the blood has been very light, only taking on dark red to a brownish color. I am not sexually active. I am not on any medication. I really have no idea what could be wrong. Any ideas yahoo people?

Hi everyone! I'm planning on auditioning for the Narrator from Joseph and the Amazing Techincolor Dreamcoat. I believe I'm a mezzo, but I have a stronger chest voice than head voice. (Note: I can sing some soprano songs, and it seems that I've been able to been keep up well with the Narrator as I go through the show). I want to try my best to find a song that typically has the same range as the Narrator shows in Joseph. (You know, therefore making me sound like a good choice without having to sing a song directly from the show). Please no pop songs, only musical theatre! And none of the over done songs please... Ex: Popular, On my Own, Defying Gravity, etcetera. (Also note that I only have to prepare 16 bars of the song). Thanks for any help!

~ I was wondering because I'd kind of want some suggestions for music. I though if I put some of my favorites up there then you guys could recognize what kind of music I like~ Anyway. Any suggestions// and or favorite songs?

Okay, so basically~ In this story the characters can change into one animal. And I need names that go well with the character's personality and the animal that they change into. xD

So I need about three names. The main character is a girl named Cheshire (Yeah, yeah I know, Cheshire Cat was a guy in Alice in Wonderland. I just like the sound of it.) --She changes into.... some type of cat xD That I have yet to figure out.

1. Anyway~ I need a name for the antagonist: He turns into a wolf~ He's also very secretive and powerful, etc.. etc..

2. I also need a name for the head power~ He turns into a lion, he's wise and kind to all of the people like him. Oh!! And he's old. xD

3. Last name I need is for a sort of -- nerdy, should I say? -- character. He's smart (in the creepy kind of way) and he's really awkward :Pp He's only about 14 in the story, so maybe a long name with a cute abbreviation would go well :D

xD This isn't a question to be mean. I myself am 14 and a writer. I was just wondering that even though there aren't many successful child writers, then how come we're getting a whole buttload of them?

I appreciate seeing that I'm not the only one out there writing... But some I see need a lot of help. I think the same for my work.

Whether it's grammar or just being downright cliche... You know what? I had an ending to this sentence but I forgot. xD Anyway. Sample of my work:

I am an Earth Myner. I maintain the Earth's structure and assure the safety of citizens. There are two others besides me as an Earth Myner. There's me, Zera, Reverse, and Drench. We have no last name. We do not need one—the Earth is our mother, so you could call us a family of some sort.

We are here for our mother. The people's selfish needs—like cars, and guns—destroy the Earth. The Earth has nearly been mined hollow for fuel—she is beginning to fall apart. She knows that if she dies, then all of her children do as well. We will prevent that from happening.

(A little continuation of the prologue that I posted earlier). The prologue is more interesting... but this is just the explanation part.... xD

Anyway. I didn't ask this for you guys to critique my writing, it's just... buttload of 14 year old writers. xD

I wrote this not too long ago, and I wanted the public's opinion(:

PROLOGUE

We may not be completely human. Earth's scientists have yet to test on us, and neither do we intend for them to in the first place. We've come for the Earth's protection—though our efforts might be in vain, Earth still needs it's time to know.

The Earth can feel. We are positive of this. We know that it is joyful when it's children's feet are pounding happily against it, we also know that it cries when its surface is stained red. It partakes in funerals with mixed feelings, sad for the memories of no longer, and happy that one of it's children has finally returned home. It smiles for the wedding of two young lives, jubilant that their lives are finally whole. But it mourns for the falsity of a divorce—for the happiness can only last so long. The Earth only wants it's children to be happy. We came here to fulfill Earth's last wish.

But crimes still occur, false accusations are thrown around in a fit and frenzy. Someone makes a bad decision that concerns the health of their people. Mistakes happen often and or inevitable. This may be how we are human. We can understand pain—just as any other natural being. We've come... to preserve the wish of the Earth. We've come to stop it's pain.

Even if we must experience the pain ourselves.

Hmm. I need a little feedback on my story, aye? (: Criticism is appreciated, by I don't accept stuff like 'This crap sucks, don't write it.' I'd much rather you tell me how I can improve it.

Alrighty, so, the name of the story is 'If I Interrupt.' The main character is a girl named Devany Caughn. The story is placed back in victorian times. And the city is called Guard. Devany is a peasant-ish girl with a poor family. Her friend is Alexavier Redwood, and since Alexavier is of Middle Class, he is allowed to interact with Royals and peasants. Alexavier has a sister named Senna (yes, I did get that name from Memories of Nobody), and Devany poses as Senna to get inside the Wall that separates the rich from the poor. While she and Alexavier were figuring out their plan, Blythe (the second son of the king), was dressed as a peasant and was exploring what was outside the Wall. He overhears the two talking, and becomes instantly concerned for Devany, because he doesn't want one of his people killed for passing into the Wall illegally. He tries eveything to keep Devany from going in the Wall. During this, Drench (the fourth son of the king, Blythe's brother) became very ill. And Devany seems to be the only one who knows how to cure him. (Romance, Comedy)

xD If you're wondering about the title ('If I interrupt'), the story is told the same as if someone was telling a memory. Throughout the story, Devany interrupts with he own views on the situation, thus making the format very humorous. :3 Heh, a quote is somewhat like this: "The air smelt a little bit funkier than usual today. What - wait? You're probably thinking 'Where's the happily ever after?' Well, stories that begin with that have a knack for ending with 'And they lived happily ever after.' But where's the fun in that?"

I MUST ADMIT TO THIS GRUESOME TRUTH.

We are not perfect. This world, the world in which we were born and nurtured in, does not revolve around you and you only.

Some people had the belief that they are important. This may be so, in fact, it may be truer than most guides hoped it to be. There are people in this world that are born to play roles. Those roles include holding the power that most people wish to possess.

Those people have to deserve it. Or maybe it is just innate to them. I do hope that they have the strength enough to hole that responsibility.

I know I do not.

A little boring, I know. But it only really leads ti what happens later.

This is the prologue, if you haven't guessed.

“Meeting at order!” Beren’s voice reverberated throughout the room. The sudden noise made my ever-changing skin go from Earthly tan to Elvin purple. Beren hit the gavel against the desk three times to earn our complete awareness. “Andricka,” Beren called.

A petite little girl stood up. Her hair was a sky blue color, and closer inspection showed me that her eyes were as well. Though, she had specks of white in them—symbolizing clouds. He attire was a lime green shirt, with dark blue shorts—they had a smiley face on them. As the turned to look at Beren, I caught a glimpse of metal. Such a small girl had a lip ring! Not to mention that she had a mischievous smile on her lips the whole time. Yes, the name ‘Andricka’ fits her.

“Yes?” She answered. A collective gasp flowed around the room. She didn’t say Sir! To our surprise, cruel Beren smiled and pulled her into a hug. He whispered something incoherent to my keen ears. Andricka’s smile became more genuine and she clapped her hands together once.

“Say hello to your new Sergeant,” she said while waving.

We have to write a 5 paragraph essay on that, I've gotten about 3 paragraphs, but really? It's not the easiest thing.

We wonder; we discover. ‘What if’ and ‘Why’ itch at us. Stubborn when we set our mind to it, we will find the answer. Who is there to stop us? Maybe that is a mystery that we must solve as well.

Through the crooked pathways and never ending mazes, we will find the way. Eventually has no meaning to us. Adventure describes everything. Riddles and questions will be answered, no matter how long it takes.

Who is there to stop us? If we run a mile, we will win the race. Contradictory comments cannot stop us from our goal. Honesty creates us, and lies destroy. Creation is our home, creators are our sanctuary.

Sounds comfort us, and scare us. Sights enlighten us and scar us. Smells fill us and disturb us. Tastes delight us and disgust us. Touch can lead our way; whether that pathway is to good or evil.

What are we? Humans? That’s true, but we will always find a way to bend human nature. Who is there to stop us?

Through the thicket and spikes, we will find the answer. Who can stop us; get in the way of our plans?

Through all that running, thinking, and suffering, we discover the answer to the riddle that befuddles us all. The only one that can stop us, is ourselves.
