I'm 14 years old and have been experiencing minor dizziness and blackouts for over a year. I did some research and concluded it was a vasovagal response. I had never fainted until a few weeks ago and tonight. For over a year I dealt with dizziness upon standing after being laying down for long periods but why have I only now began fainting? I was wondering if the effect worsens as I age. Or is this just common for my age?

I went to a Urgent Care center when I first fainted and the doctor told me what I already knew, that this was vasovagal syncopes. Was he possibly wrong despite his credentials?
