  • Your opinion on Adam Lambert?

So I am curious if you are supportive of Adam Lambert? Yes / No?

And if yes then why? Do you like him / his music or do you care less for his individual success and more for the greater cause of breaking through the glass ceiling in the music business?

For example, he will be releasing his second album soon, will you buy it?

And if so, then is it because you are looking forward to the music or because you want to demonstrate to the record companies that an openly gay artists can achieve commercial success, thus making it more likely they will work with other gay artists in the future?

  • How to sell a house that is part of an estate?

My father passed away, I am the executrix of the estate and the will says I should sell the house and then tells me how to distribute the proceeds. But what are the steps to do this? Is the will alone enough for me to take actions on the house, do I sell on behalf of the estate and then sign everything at closing. I am considering hiring a lawyer but the house is really the only asset and there is little equity left due to a home equity line of credit so i would prefer not to incur the expense. But I don't know if I would need to go to court with these papers to get myself legally put in charge, or if just having the will in hand is enough

I live in NY state, anyone dealt with this?

  • Amending an existing mortgage?

My loan is not distressed, but I would like to lower my mortgage rate. A full refinancing is expensive due to all the fees, including the NY tax to record mortgages and title insurance etc. I would like to just amend my existing mortgage with Citibank and thus not have a new mortgage. Does anyone know if you just amend the existing mortgage, do you still need new title searches, insurance etc? It would seem if nothing but the rate changes and the existing mortgage remains in place you would not need all that. Has anyone done this?

ps don't even know if citi would agree since it just less money to them but I may as well try as I could save quite a bit.
