  • Health insurance through employer...?

My company has had decent health insurance, but prices keep rising. Now they're going to make us pay at least double for prescriptions, make us have more deducted from our weekly paychecks while giving us less benefit coverage, etc all in the name of "remaining competitive with contracts in today's marketplace".

Does this sound like a bunch of baloney to anyone else? Fatcat CEO's wanting to line their pockets with moolah???

    Thoughts anyone?

  • I want to propose to my girlfriend, and most likely will be told a yes from her. Question is, should I ask her dad for his blessing first?

FYI...she's been married twice previously, and the second husband never asked her dad for her hand in marriage. I am leaning towards that I don't have to ask him, because this would be her third marraige. I want to keep good etiquette on this, but not be too overbearing. I can't find anything online about this particular topic either, and I have tried searching. Any advice is appreciated. TYIA.

  • Divorce/leaving the state of TX?

I have a friend who is originally from NY and all her friends and family live up here in NY. She met a man in TX, married him and had a son with him. She has been abused physically and emotionally, as well as been openly cheated on by this guy. She is getting a divorce and selling her home. Her husband is trying to prevent her from leaving Texas to come back home to NY. Is there anyway she can legally get the courts to understand that he was the cause of their marital breakup and that she would be homeless and jobless if she was forced to remain in TX. Any advice guys n gals???
