  • Odd issue with fan and A.C. system?

First off, the vehicle is a 2002 Ford Focus with 236k+ miles on it. Recently a problem has happened with the fans and A.C. system. The fans will nto come on unless I move the dial to the highest setting, at which they blow at max. Regardless of what position you set the fans (feet, defrost, direct, etc) the can only comes on when set to max. A.C. button will not light up when pushed but the button that makes the fans blow harder functions. A.C. will not engage when pushing the A.C. button. If I set the fans to the defrost position, the A.C. will come on. Any idea what is wrong with it?

  • What name should I go with for this social group?

I'm thinking about starting a local social group. It'd be about everything fandom basically. Some examples of fandoms are video games, anime, cosplay, steampunk, etc. My greatest problem though is trying to come up with a name for it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Some names I've thought of are:

    Cake Legion

    Rusty Breeze

    Rusty Kettle

    Passing Gale

    Social Constance

  • Is it normal for a company to do this?

I applied for a job back in January at a certain company. They have about 1,500 workers and most of their field is in geospatial and engineering. Anyway, after two follow ups, they offer me an interview for a job that they didn't list on their website or job websites. Of course, I took them up on the offer for an interview. The question was asked about how far away I lived, which is a good 8-9 hour drive. They then paid for my flight, rental, and hotel. What I'm trying to figure out is if this is normal for companies to do this? Is it normal for a company to offer interviews to people that they don't list and then pay for all your travel? It almost sounds like they are extremely interested in me but at the same time I don't want to raise my hopes too high. I only have about two years of continuous job experience at my current job and a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, emphasis area user end training. What do ya'll think?

  • Class program project?

So for one of my classes, we're working on making convenience or improving aspects of the Amtrak website. (http://www.amtrak.com/home) What my group is doing is basically wanting to make a program/query that will display prices for the day you indicate you wish to depart, including the day before and after. This is so that they have the ability to see the three prices.

We are allowed to use any type of languages and tools. If need be, we can change the project entirely. I need suggestions in what to do, what programming language should I attempt to do this in or should I change the project completely?

  • Thinking about tag indicators?

I've started a motorcycle vlog and trying to think of a tag to indicate which vids don't include me riding a motorcycle. I was thinking about [Moto-less], [Motorless], [Motoless], and [Motor-less].

I'm also trying to think of a tag for when I am on my motorcycle vlogging and a tag for just riding around. Any ideas and suggestions would be most appreciated!

  • 250cc service life on highway?

I'm planning on getting a motorcycle and doing the beginners riding course here about two weeks. My question is does riding a ninja 250r or cbr250r at 60-70mph very strenuous on the bike? I probably won't be going at that speed for more than 35 minutes. Most of the time it'll just be short 10-15 minute trips across town on the highway.

Will a 250cc doing that kind of work, require more maintenance compared to say the ninja 650r doing similar work?

  • What networking topic would yield the most information for a report?

I'm trying to figure out what to write my networking paper on. It needs to be at least 3-5 pages. I understand that a lot of people can stretch topics out but I really want a topic rich in information. Was thinking maybe fiber optic cables as the topic but was unsure if I could even stretch that passed two pages.

    Any ideas?

  • Any idea how much this will cost at usps?

I'm wanting to ship a 2.4lb book to california from missouri. Exact dimensions of the book is 10 x 7.8 x 1.9 inches, but I'll probably go with a 12x9x6 box. It needs to get there within 2 to 6 days. Would me providing the box be cheaper or would flat rate be cheaper?

I tried using the usps website but it seems to be quite broken. -_-

  • I need crohn's help and tips?

I was diagnosed with crohn's back in January 2010. My doctor tells me it is severe. Yet, I'm not experiencing symptoms as severe as others with crohn's. Well, anyway, since then he's put me on pentasa and entocort. I didn't have abdominal pain except for once (no diarrhea), before they found out I had crohn's. But since I started receiving meds for it, pentasa and entocort, pain has made itself well known and sometimes forced me to stop where I was and not move.

They couldn't give me a immune suppressant because of my epstein barr virus levels being high. But the levels went down and they finally gave me the go ahead. Well, I don't like the idea of suppressing my immune system leaving me to an increased risk to lymphoma and infection. I just don't like taking the gamble when the risks are greater than the pro's. A few days before they had given the go ahead on the immune suppressant, my stomach started to ache. Well, since I started a probiotic and yogurt diet, I no longer have pain in the colon and small intestine areas. But now, I'm having what seems to be severe flares in my stomach. Which are so random and so bad that at times, I have to pull off to the side of the road.

I think it might be crohn's creeping into my stomach cause I doubt its a common ulcer. They didn't see any ulcers when they looked inside my stomach. (Back in January) I'm on cemetidine and omeprazole since months before they found out I had crohn's. Probably since september.

So my real question is, are there other supplements that I can take to combat crohn's or relieve the pain in my stomach? Does anyone know what kind of other medicines are usually used for crohn's that aren't steroids or immune suppressants?

  • Help with process of two questions?

I need help with these two questions.

"An architect is allowed 15 square yards of floor space to add a small bedroom to a house. Because of the room's design in relationship to the existing structure, the width of the rectangular floor must be 7 yards less than two times the length. Find the length and width of the rectangular floor that the architect is permitted."

"Acme Car rental agency charges $4 a day plus $.15 per mile, whereas interstate rental agency charges $20 a day and $.05 per mile. How many miles must be driven to make the daily cost of an Acme rental a better deal than an interstate rental. Write as an inequality, then solve."

I tried 15=2L+2(2L-7) for the first one and that didn't work. I know the answer to the second one is 161 miles. I got it through guess and check but I have no idea how I'd do it through inequality form.

  • I'm thinking about getting an electric violin?

I'm thinking about getting an electric violin as a starter. I really want to learn the violin but I'm also a rocker. I've looked at quite a few electric violins and noticed something. Some said 'silent'. I know you can put headphones into them, but can you also hook them up to amps?

Another problem I'm having is I'm left handed and all the electric violins I saw were right handed. Especially this one, http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41bZDKeMfwL....

Is it possible to move the chin rest and re-string it so I could play left handed with it?

  • Conditions and problems of having one ovary?

My dog was spayed way back but one ovary was pulled back and lost inside when the vet was working on it. Well, the vet said to bring her in if she goes into heat. Unfortunately, my parents absolutely refuse to let her go back into surgery for it now that she is in heat. What are some problems that may arise from leaving that one ovary in? Other than the heat and attracting other dogs. I was wondering if she'd get cancer or something like that.

  • A few invisalign questions?

I was wondering how good invisalign is? My jaw side teeth are kinda bent in and front pretty crammed. To the point that the jaw canine is the furthest in and one of the front two teeth is almost a middle tooth. My upper teeth are in pretty good alignment and cause no problems for me. Do you think I'm a candidate for invisalign? I really don't want to go through with braces.

  • Is this something to be worried about?

Ok, here's the story. When I started feeding my oldest dog (1 year and 3 months now) chicken soup for the dog lover's soul, I noticed his stool was pretty soft. Then it eventually became diarrhea. EXTREMELY BAD diarrhea. I took him to the vet and the vet thought he might have a bug. So he gave me worming pills and a liquid wormer to completely clean his system. It still persisted, so I changed his food to diamond naturals chicken and rice. Right off the bat, no longer stool problems till after awhile, where the first dropping would be hard then the rest just be loose.

Is this common for dogs to have the first part be hard and the rest loose? I'm starting to wonder if my dog has some kind of sensitive stomach. Is there something that could be recommended? I was told to try and switch to canned dog food but a majority of canned dog food is expensive!

  • Are weighted dog packs safe?

I was thinking about getting my dog a dog pack that is weighted. But I was concerned if this could lead to health problems when its older. Such as arthritis or other bone related problems. What do you guys think? Is it safe? If its safe, how much weight should I put on a 90-100 pound (lean) dog? How long would I walk him with that weight?
