Do congenitally deaf persons tend to think mostly in terms of visual words/symbols, rather than audible ones?
Because most persons can speak and hear, we tend to think mostly in concepts based on written or audible words. It would be interesting to know if congenitally deaf persons tend to think more in terms of visual symbols such as hand-sign language and written words instead of in terms of sound related words. A similar question could be considered about blind persons and Braille writing in regard to their sense of feel.
1 AnswerLanguages9 years agoHow do grown daughters of good fathers feel about their dads?
I am the father of a grown-up daughter, and I get very tired of reading and hearing all the rerports of abusive and irresponsible fathers, as though no other kind exists. How do any grown-up daughters of good fathers who are out there in cyberspace feel and think about their dads? Please do not make something "sexy" of this. As context to my question, my daughter is just about the best thing that ever happened to me.
