Is this even legal and can I go to jail?
I'm on disability since 2004 and finally had to completely stop making payments on a credit card as of January 2009. (I did try!) I have tried to get this taken care of, trying desperately to explain there is no money on my fixed income. Long story short, one attorney's office sent me a summons; I answered and didn't hear anything back for a long time. When I did, it was from another attorney's office starting all over again. Now I am being bothered by a financial recovery place who won't even let me talk. I have asked them to change their tone (which is sarcastic) and loudness or I would hang up. That is what I do each time now.
Someone told me that once you explain you're disabled, on a fixed income and have no money left over; once you've answered a summons; once an attorney has 'handled' it, that they can't do this to people.
Does anyone know? I am afraid of going to jail or something (which some of them have said I could be!)
Please help and please be kind. I cannot handle this anymore.
Thanks

1 AnswerCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat to do - I bought frozen salmon fillets (I know...don't ask)?
I've baked it, burger-ed it & fried it as is. I've used seasonings, marinates, and sauces. I've ground it up, sliced it thin and left it as is. It's awful. They weren't cheap dollar-wise, but cheap, cheap, cheap in taste. I have 4 left - help!
2 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoCan I use the marinade sauce to bake chicken wings in?
I marinaded some chicken wings in a store-bought bottled marinade. It's been awhile since I used marinade and I cannot for the life of me remember if I poured some of the marinade over the wings before baking or not. If not, do I simply place the wings in the dish without any sauce? (brain spaz going on here).
Also...do I cover the dish while baking?
Thank you for any help.

I'm writing an acknowledgement page if that helps.
1 AnswerFriends1 decade agoDo I have to buy a new CPU?
I have a Printmaster Platinum version 18 and it says it is Windows XP compatible, but it came with a DVD and my CPU evidently doesn't have a DVD player/writer - whatever! on it. I'm new to computers sort of and I was wondering if there was something external I can buy to use for this purpose.
Any help appreciated. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I cannot return the product because it was bought over a year ago as a gift and I just recently got well enough to install it. Surprise! I can't.Thank you.
