Is my mini-fridge going to have to go?
So, I recently moved into an apartment with 3 other roommates. 2 roommates brought a regular refrigerator, and I brought my mini-fridge, because I was expecting all of us to. I just kept it to have my own little storage of food.
I just recently found out from one of my roommates while we were having a little chat, that all three of them seem to be afraid that my having the mini-fridge for myself, and not using the regular fridge, will somehow send the electric bill skyrocketing. If the bill seems like too much, they're all going to ask me to have it removed, and move my stuff into their shared fridge. It's already kind of hectic. I like using mine.
Will my mini-fridge make a big dent in the electric bill? We often have lights off and everything unplugged. Only things often used are floor fans [overnight] and laptop chargers.
2 AnswersOther - Electronics9 years agoCan I return my laptop to Walmart?
I've only had it for a little less than a week, and the policy is to return within 15 days, so I'm clear of that, but I don't have all of the original packaging. I do have the receipt though. I'm just missing the weird styrofoam blocks that hold the laptop in place in the box, but that's about it. I have most everything else.
It's an HP Pavilion dv6, "Beats Audio" laptop, and after a few days' use, a white blotch appeared at the bottom-right corner of the screen. It's only visible when the screen goes black, but I'm afraid it might bleed with time, and it irritates me a good bit when starting up the laptop.
Can I return this the Walmart tomorrow? Will I be charged any fees?
Last time I went, they were short on laptops. What would happen if they don't have this laptop anymore?
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoHow can I stop having sexual urges?
I really need some help with this, ANY suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
To make things a bit clearer, I am a girl.
I dated a girl some years ago for 2 years. We broke up, she has a boyfriend and I am still single. We are still very close, best-friend close. Every now and again, she'll invite me to her house for a sleepover, and we sleep on the same bed, which is where the problem was. At times, I find myself wanting to do "things" with her, knowing fully well she's in relationship.
Just last night when I had slept over, I got carried away and found myself at her breasts in a now-unacceptable manner. After a little, she asked me stop, and I did so immediately, feeling the shame piling up, but, she forgave me and shrugged it off, and it's happened before.
I personally feel I'm over her. I can deal with no more hand-holding, kissing, usual couple jazz. But, I find giving up sex being much harder. Is it maybe because I'm 17, still a teenager with "raging" hormones?
I'm not going to be sleeping over anymore, BUT, she will be moving in with me in about 2 months, so we'll be sharing a bed every night, and I'd HATE to go through the embarrassment again.
5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoShould I try to be friends with her?
Back when I was going out with someone, another girl kissed me. I admitted it to my current girlfriend, we stayed together, but she hated the girl who kissed me. We broke up a little over a year later, but we're still friends.
During that time, I hadn't seen the girl, Gabriela. But, I recently saw that she was attending my current school, and was wondering if I should get the courage to talk to her again.
We were good friends before [obviously], but now she passes by me as if she doesn't acknowledge me. I've heard from mutual friends that she's changed, and it's made me somewhat nervous and skeptical in even talking to her.
Would it be worth it to make an attempt to be friends again? Or should the past be left in the past?
3 AnswersFriends1 decade agoWhy am I still jealous?
We were together almost three years. My girlfriend broke up with me about 5 months ago. She was asked out by a slightly younger guys 2 weeks after the break up.
After these months, why am I still jealous?
I've always felt I was a naturally jealous person...but it seems really strong when it comes to her and her boyfriend. When she'd make her profile picture on Facebook or update her status to something relating to the two of them, I get stomach knots, sometimes to the point of feeling nauseous.
We're best friends, and I'm sure we both want to keep it that way, so cutting off the friendship is not something we'd like to do.
I don't know how long this guy will last, but seeing how happy she is and how smooth it's been going so far, one can easily see it will most likely outlast our 3 year relationship. So I want to get rid of my jealousy now rather than be bitter for what may turn out to be years.
Any and all help would be appreciated! And yes, we have tried getting away from each other and talking about it quite a few times.
2 AnswersFriends1 decade agoCheated on him with me, help?
I had a girlfriend last year, she broke up with me and we stayed friends, though I still do have a bit of feelings for her.
Last weekend, I stayed over at her house as I usually do, and some things got out of hand. We were getting ready to go to sleep, and I was jokingly laying on her as if I was going to sleep that way. She starts rubbing my back, and soon enough, her hand is in my shirt, and things start to get heavy.
We basically made-out, and had sex. Said she felt no guilt, and we both went to sleep.
The day after, she was pretty regretful, cause she's already in a relationship with a guy, for 4 months now. And basically betrayed him. She told me to not see her for a while, and that she'd tell him the truth.
She told him today, and he forgave her, but has lost all trust in her, and wants her to stop seeing/contacting me. I don't know what to do about this.
We've been friends for over 3 years, and we were together for 2/3s that time.
What can I do? Do I just accept it?
I'm her best friend, but it's obvious she doesn't want to lose him as he makes her really happy. She just lacks self-control.
Granted he never said he would leave her if she refused to stop seeing me, since chances are he's just upset.
I tried talking to her earlier, but she's right that it's too soon to tell...
But, I might be losing my closest friend to some kid she met a few months ago.
I just want to be friends with her. I see now that I lover her as a friend, not a girlfriend.
3 AnswersFriends1 decade agoIs the tracking number sent to me the same as the out being sent out?
As I have asked previously, I believe the UPS has lost my 80GB Zune. I dreaded having given them my Wii as well, but it needed repairs too...
I still have the tracking number sent to me by Microsoft/Zune and I was wondering if it would be the same one as the one I attached to to out-going package.
I need to know so I can find out the whereabouts of my precious Zune...It's been gone for over a month and Microsoft has told me they haven't received it yet...
In-coming tracking number delivered the coffin for the Zune.
Is the out-going one the same?
1 AnswerMusic & Music Players1 decade agoDid the UPS lose my Zune?
On November the 17th, I sent in my Zune 80GB to the UPS for it to be sent to Microsoft for repairs. When I called Microsoft a week ago, they told me they have not received my Zune yet. I live in California and Microsoft is in Washington, no? So I would assume it would only take maybe a week or two, three tops. Well now, it's officially been a month and I've still no news on its whereabouts.
I went to the UPS site and typed in the tracking number of the package they sent in, but I have the feeling that will get me nothing and that the tracking number on Zune-to-Microsoft is different than Microsoft-to-me, right?
I don't know what else to do. Call Microsoft? Call UPS or go down to the UPS center/store place and ask?
I really want my Zune back, please help... :(
1 AnswerMusic & Music Players1 decade agoMy ex kind of acts like we're still together?
NOTE: I AM a girl.
So, I was with my girlfriend since March '08. She broke up with me in October of this year. She told me she loves me, but she's not IN love with me. We both agreed to stay really really close friends. Two weeks after the break up, she started going out with a guy from school. I just recently got over her and started seeing a guy about 3 weeks ago.
Whenever I'd go over to her house for a sleepover [her family and mine are unaware of what's going on], we would still act the same, sans kissing and telling each other "I love you." I act a little more cautious towards what I do. When it's time to go to sleep, she would sometimes put her arm over/around me and put her chin on my shoulder. Maybe she's just being friendly cause we're close?
I've seen how she acts with her boyfriend, she seems very happy and seems to love him a lot.
The last time I went to her house to sleep over, she did the same, even after I admitted to her I'm now seeing someone. She seemed happy for me when I told her the news. What was new was that shortly afterward, she asked what I would do if one day she asked me to be with her again, I didn't know what to say. I suspect maybe it was out of curiosity. In a way, I feel like she may still have feelings for me, but at the same time, she has someone already. I can see that we may never be together again...at least, not any time soon.
So, am I looking too much into something more innocent than it seems, or is there really something going on deep inside? I do tend to think too much.
