  • When do I add strength training to my workout plan?

    My BMI is between 37-38 and both my nutritionist and dietetics specialist told me to begin my workout plan by only walking for 30 minutes 4-5 times a week for at least a month, and honestly I can do more than that or go on longer but I want to know if I am allowed or this walking for 30 minutes plan is for a reason.

  • Balance disorder?

    I was recently diagnosed with balance disorder and my doctor prescribed me "betaserc".

    i hasn't been helping much with the imbalance and the diziness but i am hoping it works.

    My question is, if my body experiences any stimuli (e.g. hookah) that in normal circumstances causes diziness and rapid heartbeat. What kind of effect would that have on a body with balance disorder?

  • How to stay disciplined when it comes to work out and weight loss?

    So here is my story, and I am sure a lot of you might be aggressive but i think constructive criticism is going to help me get back on track.

    I am 85 KGs, 155 cms and I am 20 years old and a female. I know everything there is to know about the process of losing weight and I already went from 85 to 70 twice in my life by exercising and clean eating, but I always seem to go back to 85 after a while of being healthy. It's like I just give up on myself when I see this change. I know this is wrong and this shouldn't be happening but I feel like at a great period of my life including the last process of weight loss ( which is the process when I learned everything about weight loss), this period was a time where I was not losing weight for my own sake, probably to please people or to look cute for someone etc. A lot of people in my life admired my dedication to working out but then they were disappointed when I quit. After I quit I didn't go back to eating bad, I just stopped exercising, after like 7 months I ate fast food like once a month then I went back to candy and chocolate, I don't crave them though, I think it's just emotional eating. Anyway the thing is I can't seem to start again, I need someone to tell me how to stop myself from getting lazy or stopping when I see the partial change in weight.

  • Why are my fingernails like this? (Medical consult please)?

    I was born with these fingernails, I did not bite them or anything. No one knows why they look like that including my parents, and in my family's history, I am the only one with fingernails like that.

  • Blackberry suddenly stopped working?

    I have had this blackberry for a year and a half, yesterday it was working perfectly fine and suddenly it stopped working. I thought it was a sudden drop in charge and that I had to recharge it, so I put it in the charger but the LED and the mobile didn't work. I tried a USB but that didn't work too. I thought it was battery damage, so I put my battery in someone else's phone and put their battery in mine. My battery in their phone worked perfectly fine, so I realized something is wrong with my phone. I tried today to use the application loader wizard method but when I connect my mobile to the laptop the LED doesn't even light and the laptop doesn't make that sound of attachment. What could it be? is it hardware problem? and how would it be hardware problem if it was working perfectly fine seconds earlier?

    I tried losing weight like 3 times before, and every time I get in a good shape and my body starts changing I go back to normal and it pisses me off that I gain back my weight. I'm pretty sure that this time I'm disciplined and determined to really stick to this new lifestyle and I'm happy. However, I am still worried that I might stop when I see changes so how can I get over that?

    While I was checking some fitness blogs and websites I read that sometimes people think they are losing weight or fat while in fact they are just losing "water weight". I found it pretty hard to understand what water weight is and how this happens because most of the explanations I found were complicated a bit.

    I started changing my lifestyle and exercising about 3 weeks ago, and I am already seeing a change in my sides fat and my thighs and back. Could this be water weight? or is it really fats being burned?

    So can anyone tell me if losing water wight changes body shape as well as losing fat? or am I really burning fat?

  • What should I do if I am eating fewer calories than needed?

    I'm 84 kgs and 155 cm.

    I joined www.myfitnesspal.com recently to help me count my calories and exercises and progress. The problem is that today it gave me this alert saying that I am eating fewer calories than I'm supposed to. I think it might be because I burn around 900-1000 calories per workout. Here's and idea or what my food looks like everyday.

    Breakfast: boiled egg sandwich (brown toast) or Nestlé fitness whole grain cereal with skimmed milk

    I either eat fruit in between or not

    Lunch: salads, 1 or 2 spoons of rice, 2-3 cubes of meat or chicken, whatever that is available for lunch, but only small amounts

    Dinner: I either eat Nestlé cereal with skimmed milk, or not eat anything at all.

    What do you recommend that I should eat.

    Also I thought that the point of losing weight is eating fewer calories so that your body would burn its fat and not food you eat. Enlighten me please. Thanks

  • If washing hair everyday is bad, how can I shower after daily exercises?

    I exercise everyday and I shower after exercising of course. However, today I read that it is so wrong to wash hair everyday and that you have to wait for 2-3 days. The problem is that I sweat sooooooo much ! So my hair is basically dripping in sweat after every workout, and I can't just cover it and shower because that's just disgusting. And I cannot stop workouts too. So what should I do?

  • Toshiba built-in camera and microphone disappeared?

    I have a satellite L840-A360 and I have had it for a while. Less than a month ago, I tried opening the cam or having Skype calls with friends of mine and it kept saying that there is no webcam detected. I had already asked about this in yahooanswers and I did not get a proper solution. The thing is that I tried opening sound recorder in my laptop then it told me that there is no microphone detected. What happened to my camera and mic. They are built-in the laptop so it's not like they're external. And I tried so hard to find my laptop on toshiba,com but I couldn't find my exact laptop's drivers.

  • Where did my toshiba web camera application go?

    I have had a toshiba laptop (satellite L840-A630 ) for almost a year now. My camera was working perfectly fine all this time. I don't know what happened but one day I clicked on it and it won't open! and whenever I check on Skype, it's not even detected. I tried so hard to install a driver from Toshiba's website but it just wouldn't work because I couldn't find my brand's driver. What should I do to get the webcam back?

    This game I used to play on the PC when I was little, maybe 10 years ago.

    The game consists of few things you can use to mess up your background or desktop, for example there was a man who laughs in a weird way and blurs or somehow ruins the background, a rubber eraser that cleans the whole background, a man that paints the background with colors you choose, guns and bombs, something that you click on that attracts cockroaches and broken computer screens.

    Does anyone know what game is it? I bet I sound really stupid :P

  • CTRL button automatically pressed?

    Seems like somehow my CTRL button is pressed. When I click links in opens in new tabs, when I click on several files it selects all of them and some other stuff.

    I tried downloading google toolbox to uncheck "open links in new tabs" but it was unchecked already.

    I also tried sticky keys and it was also unchecked.

    Does anyone know how to solve this?

  • Could laziness and sleepiness be a sign of a disease?

    I have always been the kind of person that sleeps for long hours, it's in my family. The problem is that I'm always lazy and sleepy, I sleep anywhere and anytime. I'm always tired and less concentrated. I'm only 18 and I have been this way for the past 3-4 years.

    Should I be concerned?
