  • Help! My son is two and I can't control him. He?

Is such a sweet little boy but he's so hyper and never listens to me. He hits, slaps, kicks, bites. He doesn't talk yet, he's in speech therapy, so he yells and growls a lot. I know 2 yr olds act out, that's why they call it terrible twos. However, i believe this to be a little bit more than that. Like the other day , I caught him right in time, he was sticking a screwdriver in the light socket. Of course two year olds do that but I am constantly running him. He tries running out in the street because he wants to tell the cars bye-bye. He jumps from the stairs, he walks up to perfect strangers on the street and wants to kiss them. And the fact that it takes like 30 minutes to get him in his car seat, and by time were down the road, he's unbuckled the seat, he's hanging from the "oh ****" handle trying to get out of the seat, and sometimes he succeeds in getting out. I have done everything to try to stop this behavior. I am at my wits end, because he doesn't respond to any kind of reprimand. He just gets more aggressive. I feel like a bad parent because of the way he acts but I just can't get it right. I love him so much, and it hurts me to see him act like this. Is there any advice from parents who have had issues with their toddlers behavior. Thank you so much!

  • do you think it's weird that I want my fiance to be stay at home dad?

I have raised my two kids on my own for so long, that now I am uncomfortable with the idea of staying home and being a stay at home mom. My fiance who adores my children as if they were his own, (since the real dad is not in their lives,,long story) anyway I work full time, and my fiance has not moved in with us yet, probably won't until next year or so. Child care is a killer, and along with rent, utilities, and student loans plus everything else that I have to pay it is a struggle. I don't get any assistance (even though I'm stereotyped as a welfare hoarding, freeloader.. lol.) I am trying to talk my fiance into staying home with the kids and save on daycare since he's in construction and a lot of times not even working. He doesn't want to feel like a freeloader that is sitting at home while his wife supports him. I don't see it that way, I see it like it is. A mutual decision that will save on childcare and put more money into the house that way. I live on my own and am able to pay the bills without any help so why will it be different later on. I think that it would be the best solution. Am I asking too much though, to expect a man to be a stay at home dad? Thanks for your input!!

  • Do you think a marriage would last if?

Do you think a marriage would last if you acted more like friends than lovers? I know that it's good to have a friendship with your spouse, their supposed to be your best friend. But if you get along, but the marriage doesn't include sex anymore, and no affection what so ever do you think that would last?

  • I'm a single mom making it on my own with no assistance. What are we to do when landlords don't trust you?

I'm a single mom of two kids. And I take care of my babies to the best of my ability. They need or want for nothing. I work full time in a steady job and make decent money. By no means am I well off. What do you do when you make too much to get help, but don't make enough for realitors and landlords to give you a chance? I'm living with my mom right now, but i've lived on my own before and did ok, the only reason I left was because the house I was in wasn't the best for my kids. (old & infested with rats) I only want the best for them. I can't even get food stamps or assistance of any kind. Any ideas!! Thanks for listening.
